Golden State Minority Foundation Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must attend school in Southern California, be African-American, Latino, Native American, or other underrepresented ethnic minority, and be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident. Applicant must be enrolled full-time, be employed no more than 25 hours per week, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Frank Knox Memorial Fellowship

Award: $20,000, Deadline: November 30

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who has recently graduated or is about to graduate from an institution which is a member of or affiliated with AUCC. Applicants presently studying in the U.S. are not eligible.

 

Fellowship on Women and Public Policy

Award: $9,000, Deadline: September 1

Applicant must be enrolled at a college or university in New York state, have completed at least 12 hours of graduate work, and demonstrate interest in improving the status of women through studies, research, employment, or volunteer work. Fellowship includes work at the Center for Women in Government & Civil Society and at either the New York state legislature, a state agency, or a statewide advocacy organization in Albany, N.Y.

 

Robert W. Woodruff Graduate Program and Internship Fellowship

Award: $15,000, Deadline: June 15

Applicant must be accepted into an accredited graduate degree program. Recipients must make a two-year commitment to be employed full time at a Boys & Girls Club.

 

Margaret Freeman Bowers Fellowship

Award: $8,000, Deadline: Early January

Applicant must be a woman and a graduate of Wellesley Coll who is planning for her first year of full-time graduate study in the field of law, public policy/public administration, or social work, including M.Bus.Admin. candidates planning a career in social services. Selection is based upon merit and financial need. Preference is given to applicants who have not previously held the award.

 

AGBU Fellowships for U.S. Based Study

Award: $7,500, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must be of Armenian heritage, be a full-time graduate student seeking a master's or doctorate degree at a highly- or most-competitive U.S. institution, and have a minimum 3.5 GPA in undergraduate work.

 

Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: Late February

Applicant must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen or permanent resident and must be a member of one of the following ethnic groups: African-American, Asian/Pacific Islander, Eskimo/Aleut, Hispanic, Indian.

 

Public Employee Retirement Research and Administration Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: Late February

Applicant must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen or permanent resident, have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, submit recommendation from advisor or dean, and be planning a career in state/local finance with a focus on public sector retirement benefits.

 

Public Investor Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: Late February

Applicant must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen or permanent resident, have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and submit recommendation from advisor or dean.

 

Richard C. Flint Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a West Virginia resident enrolled full time, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and demonstrate good moral character.

 

Hope (General) Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Maryland resident, apply as a high school senior, have and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA, enroll in an eligible program at a Maryland college or university, and have a combined annual family income of less than $95,000.

 

Health Research Training Program

Award: -, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a New York City resident who is attending a metropolitan New York City school. The program offers internships in public health research, community outreach and education, fieldwork, laboratory work and administration to all college undergraduates, graduate, and professional school students.

 

Robert R. Robinson Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be a junior, senior, or graduate student enrolled in a Michigan college or university who is pursuing a degree in public administration and considering a career in local government administration. Recipient will be selected from nominees submitted by a Michigan township board that is a member of good standing in the Michigan Townships Association.

 

Kenneth H. Ashworth Fellowship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 20

Applicant must be a Texas resident attending a Texas public or private non-profit college or university, and nominated by his or her college dean. Applicant must intend to work in Texas after graduation, and must be able to demonstrate financial need.

 

Thomas R. Pickering Graduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen with a minimum 3.2 GPA and who has earned a bachelor's degree.

 

Jean Chretien Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Applicant must have a minimum 92% average, leadership qualities, academic and extracurricular activities.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Special Undergraduate Academic Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a minimum combined SAT I score of 1500 (composite ACT score of 21).

 

Leo I. Shapiro Memorial Scholarship

Award: $750, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, 62 credits, and be able to demonstrate financial need.

 

Jacob Javits Fellowship

Applicant must not have completed his or her first year of graduate school and the fifth year of a five-year baccalaureate/master's degree is applicable. Applicant must demonstrate financial need and submit a FAFSA application.

 

Robert M. Odell Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to public administration majors specializing in finance.

 

Finck Family Charitable Fund Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or community college student in Ventura County with a 3.0 GPA, who is intending to enroll for a degree in education, health-related studies, or social services at an accredited college, university, or vocational school.

 

Public Management Graduate Intern

Applicant must be a graduate student enrolled in an eligible master's level program who has completed at least one semester or more of course work with a overall grade of "B" and one Quantitative Research Methods course.

 

Henry A Zuberano Scholarship

Applicant must be an undergraduate student with a major in international business, international relations, political science or public administration.

 

Whitley Place Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior of a high school in Prosper Independent School District who has applied to and plans to attend an accredited college or university. Applicant must plan to pursue studies in the area of civil engineering, construction science, construction management, architecture, landscape architecture, planning, public administration, mechanical engineering or other math/science related fields.

 

Portland Police Association Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate of a high school in Portland, Oregon who will attend a public or nonprofit college or university. FAFSA required. Preference to those attending an Oregon community college, Portland State, or Oregon State University and majoring in public safety or a related field.

 

Eric Hall Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a graduating senior from San Dieguito Union High School District who will pursue a degree in the area of architecture, construction management, public administration or public finance. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

APWA Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a full-time junior or senior at a public university in Mississippi who is studying to enter the field of public works.

 

Christian Care Retirement Community Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Wells County, IN high school who will pursue post-secondary education in the field of food preparation, medicine, recreational therapy or social services.
