Completion of preliminary coursework and examinations prior to start of the SAO Predoctoral Program and approval of Department Head at applicant's university are required. Application must list the SAO scientist who has agreed to serve as a sponsor for each proposed research project; applicant must directly contact the scientist in their particular research area.
