Applicant must be an entering freshman student who plans to pursue an undergraduate major in Arabic; art history and archaeology; Chinese; classics/ancient studies; comparative arts; comparative literature; dance; drama; English; film and media studies; French; German; modern Hebrew; history; interdisciplinary project in the humanities; literature and history; Italian; Japanese; Jewish, Islamic, and Near Eastern studies; music; philosophy; religious studies; Russian studies; or Spanish.

James Fonseca Scholarship

Applicant must be a full member of Alpha Mu Gamma and participate in national scholarship competition. Applicant must submit essay, transcript, three recommendations, and copy of full membership certificate. Application forms are available from local AMG chapter advisors.

Schmalenbeck Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Two letters of recommendation required.

Larry Kruse Scholarship

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

Spanish Scholarship

Spanish Alumni Scholarship

Patricia Medina Wilson Scholarship

DAAD/AICGS Research Fellowship Program

Award: $4,725, Deadline: February 28; August 31

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or be enrolled in a Ph.D. program and hold U.S. or German citizenship. The grant provides a research stay of two months at AICGS.
