Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 28
Applicant must be a female full-time student at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Engineering. Focus on one of the following disciplines is required: civil and materials, electrical and computer, computer science, or mechanical engineering. Applicant must show evidence of above average academic performance (minimum GPA 3.0/4.0). Women of color (African American, Latina, Native American) are encouraged to apply. Application coversheet, biographical statement, current resume or CV (list your education and employment history), UIC transcript, proof of financial aid eligibility, proof of U.S. citizenship (copy of birth certificate or passport), and two letters of recommendation (include at least one from a UIC instructor) required.

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and plan to enroll or already be enrolled as a full-time student in a degree seeking program at a four-year accredited institution in the United States, Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands during the upcoming academic year. FAFSA and GM Online Assessment (semi-finalists only) are required. Program will begin as of fall 2009.

Applicant must be a graduating senior or past graduate of Bertrand High School who will enroll full-time in a program leading to a degree or certification in mechanics or welding.

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Searcy High School who was in the agriculture education program and will study agriculture, mechanical technologies, or a technical trade.
