Lyle Mamer Fellowship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be pursuing graduate work toward an advanced degree in any phase of the utility industry. Selection is based upon academic aptitude, vocational promise, character, financial need, and willingness to continue a career in a field related to electrical energy. These fields include communications, education, electrical engineering, electric utilities, extension work, housing and home furnishings, journalism, manufacturers of electrical household equipment, marketing, radio, research, and television.

 

Council of Fellows Undergraduate Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: November 15

Applicant must be an active IIE member, be enrolled full time, and have a minimum 3.4 GPA. Selection is based on scholastic ability, character, leadership, potential service to the profession, and financial need.

 

United Parcel Services Scholarship for Female Students

Applicant must be a woman, an active IIE member, be enrolled full time, and have a minimum 3.4 GPA. Selection is based upon scholastic ability, character, leadership, potential service to the profession, and financial need.

E. Wayne Kay Graduate Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicants must be a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA, who has been accepted in a graduate program for a Masters or Doctorate degree with a manufacturing or industrial engineering emphasis in the United States or Canada. Selection will be based upon scholastic ability, exemplary character and leadership capability, and potential for future leadership in the profession.

 

Graduate Research Program for Women/Cooperative Research Fellowship/Ph.D. Fellowship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is black, Hispanic, Native American, female Asian/Pacific Islander or female Caucasian. Selection is based upon scholastic aptitude, academic performance, class rank, leadership, motivation, and ability. Ph.D. program is by invitation only.

 

E.J. Sierleja Memorial Fellowship

Award: $600, Deadline: November 15

Applicant must have a minimum 3.4 GPA, be an active IIE member, and be enrolled full-time. Preference given to applicant focusing on rail transportation.

 

Chapter 105 - Memphis - Les Segar Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be seeking an associate's degree or bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing technology, or a closely related field of study. First preference will be given to residents of Tennessee. Second preference will be given to applicants who are seeking their education from the University of Memphis. Third preference will be given to applicants who are seeking their education from a college of university in the state of Tennessee.

 

HIMSS Foundation Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a current HIMSS member. Completed application and three letters of recommendation (one letter must be from an academic advisor) are required to be submitted.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

HSF/General Motors Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and plan to enroll or already be enrolled as a full-time student in a degree seeking program at a four-year accredited institution in the United States, Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands during the upcoming academic year. FAFSA and GM Online Assessment (semi-finalists only) are required. Program will begin as of fall 2009.

 

HSF/Wal-Mart Stores College Scholarship Program

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage and is a sophomore, junior, senior, or first, or second year Master's student enrolled full-time with a minimum 3.0 GPA in a degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university in the United States, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam. FAFSA is required. Program will begin as of fall 2009.

 

ASCO Numatics Industrial Automation Engineering Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal resident who is an engineering students pursuing a career in an industrial automation-related discipline.

 

AACE International Scholarships

Award: $8,000, Deadline: February 7

Applicant must be a full-time student enrolled in a program related to cost engineering/cost management (agricultural engineering, architectural engineering, building construction, business administration, chemical engineering, civil engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, mining engineering, electrical engineering, and quantity surveying). Applicant must be in their final undergraduate year and have been accepted to attend a full-time graduate program in the next academic year. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

CSHEMA Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in the United States who is enrolled in a major geared toward an environmental health/safety career (such as, but not limited to, environmental science, fire protection, health physics, industrial engineering, industrial hygiene, occupational health, safety, etc.). Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

Robert E. Dougherty Educational Foundation Scholarship Award

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 28

Applicants must be nominated for this award by a Robert E. Dougherty Educational Foundation member company or member institution. They must be North American citizens and be graduate or undergraduate students who are studying industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, forest products, wood science or wood technology. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

The Grimes Logistics & Supply Chain Scholarship

Applicants must be full-time students enrolled in a U.S. college, have at least a 3.0 GPA, and be majoring in supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering or related degree program.

Applicants must be sophomores, juniors or seniors who are majoring in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, software engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, engineering technology or computer science. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a four-point scale. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Recycling Research Foundation's National Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicants must be pursuing a graduate level degree, be a U.S. citizen and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. The program is open to those seeking a graduate degree in a program that supports the scrap processing and recycling industry as a whole. The industry itself is both labor and mechanically intensive as scrap processors take old and new metals, paper, rubber, plastic, glass and more, and sort it into established grades which are highly sought after by manufacturers. The challenges of recycling on the scale of 200 billion pounds a year has given rise to new and innovative technologies as the recycling industry adapts to an ever changing marketplace of goods.

 

PG&E Better Together STEM Scholarship Program

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicants must be PG&E customers who are either high school seniors, current college students, veterans or adults returning to school studying one of the following STEM related careers: Engineering (electrical, mechanical, computer, industrial or environmental), Computer Science/Information Systems, Cyber Security or Environmental Sciences. Students must intend to be full-time undergraduate students for the entire upcoming school year working toward their first degree at a PG&E Partner School in California.
