Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate landscape horticulture program or related discipline at a two or four-year institution. Students in vocational agriculture programs will also be considered. Applicant must be currently enrolled in good standing and carry full-time course load at the time of application and during the semesters for which the scholarship is granted. Preference will be given to applicants who plan to work within the industry (including nursery operation, landscape architecture/design/construction/maintenance, interiorscape, horticultural distribution, or retail garden center) following graduation. Must complete application online.

Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Selection is based upon past academic achievement, leadership abilities and potato-related areas of graduate study (i.e. agricultural engineering, agronomy, crop and soil science, entomology, food sciences, horticulture, plant pathology, etc.).

Applicants must be Kansas residents and high school graduates who are planning to enroll at a Kansas postsecondary institution. They must be recommended for the award by a member of the Kansas Agricultural Aviation Association (KAAA) and must demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students who are majoring in or planning to major in agriculture, agricultural business, aviation or engineering. Selection is based on academic merit and financial need.
