Scholarships in Pharmacy Technician/assistant

AAPS/AFPE Gateway Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: January 28

Applicant must be enrolled in the last three years of a B.S. or Pharm.D. program at an accredited college of pharmacy or a baccalaureate degree program in a related field of scientific study at any college and have a demonstrated interest in, and potential for, a career in any of the pharmaceutical sciences.

 

AFPE

Award: $5,000, Deadline: January 28

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, be enrolled in the last three years of a B.S. or Pharm.D. program at a U.S. college of pharmacy, and will be enrolled for at least one full academic year following the award of the scholarship.

 

AFPE Clinical Pharmacy Post-Pharm.D. Fellowship in Biomedical Research Sciences

Award: $27,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who has received the Pharm.D. degree within the last 10 years. Applicant must have completed a one-year postdoctoral clinical residency and/or clinical fellowship. Applicant must agree to carry out the fellowship full-time. Applicant must be accepted for postdoctoral training at a recognized academic/research institution.

 

Jason Lang Scholarships

Award: $1,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must have completed a minimum of one year of an undergraduate program in Alberta and are continuing in the same program. Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Allied Healthcare Scholarship Program

Award: $4,000, Deadline: n/a

Selection is based upon financial need, career objectives within the next five to 10 years, community involvement, community background, and academic performance. Recipient commits to a one-year service obligation service practicing direct patient care in a medically underserved area (MUA) of California.

 

Healthcare Career Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: September 12

Applicant must be a student currently enrolled in one of the following healthcare programs: cardiac ultrasound, health information management, medical technology, nursing, pharmacy, or rehabilitation services. Minimum 3.0 GPA and 500 word essay required on this topic: "Why did you choose your career path, what have you done to support it, and how would it benefit FHN's service area?" Finalists are required to participate in an interview.

 

Health Resources and Services Administration-Bureau of Health Professions Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students

Award: $30,000, Deadline: June 30

Applicants must be full-time students, be from a disadvantaged background, demonstrate financial need and be studying in a health field, including medicine, nursing, veterinary medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and others. They must be U.S. citizens, nationals or permanent residents. All other criteria are set by individual schools.

 

Predoctoral Research Training Fellowship

Award: $20,000, Deadline: May 5

Applicants must be full-time graduate students pursuing a Ph.D. degree in neuroscience, physiology, pharmacology, psychology, biochemistry, genetics, nursing, pharmacy or other related areas; have a dissertation research project; have a qualified mentor who can supervise the project and have access to resources to conduct the project. The project must be in the U.S. and its territories. The award is based on the quality of the dissertation project, relevance to epilepsy, the applicant's qualifications, the mentor's qualifications and the quality of the proposed environment.

 

Cables and Sensors Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: November 15

Applicants should be currently enrolled in degree programs in the fields of Biomedical Engineering, Health Sciences, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare. Students must be a legal residents of the U.S. or hold a valid student visa.
