Health Research Training Program

Applicant must be a New York City resident who is attending a metropolitan New York City school. The program offers internships in public health research, community outreach and education, fieldwork, laboratory work and administration to all college undergraduates, graduate, and professional school students.

 

Association for Glycogen Storage Disease Grant-in-Aid

Award: $500, Deadline: July 1

Applicant must be actively involved with Glycogen Storage Disease such as working with patients, clinics, etc.

 

Hinson-Hazelwood Health Education Loan

Applicant must be attending a Texas college or university. Selection is based upon financial need and credit. Applicant must be a permanent U.S. resident eligible to pay resident tuition at a Texas public college or university.

 

Physician Education Loan Repayment Part III (Texas Family Practice Residency Training Program)

Award: $9,000, Deadline: April 20

Applicant must be a second- or third-year resident in an approved Texas Family Practice Residency Training Program, or a full-time faculty member for such a program.

 

Physician Education Loan Repayment Parts I and II (For Post-Residency Practicing Physicians)

Award: $9,000, Deadline: August 1

Applicant must be a physician practicing in an approved specialty, in an approved practice site.

 

Patricia Lee Palmer, MD Memorial Resident Loan

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a single female Texas resident who is a medical doctor in a Texas residency program.

 

Benjamin Cottone Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen of Italian heritage. Applicant must be a senior at any public or private college or graduate there of who is commencing graduate studies in the field of medicine or is currently enrolled in an accredited medical school within the United States.

 

Melvin P. Nelson & Esther L. Nelson Heart Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a resident of Minnesota and currently attending a Minnesota institution. Award is to enable a medical student to participate in health research at a Minnesota institution and to explore the field of research.

 

Jason Lang Scholarships

Award: $1,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must have completed a minimum of one year of an undergraduate program in Alberta and are continuing in the same program. Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA.

 

Christian Medical & Dental Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: None

Applicant must have a minimum 22 ACT score (1050 SAT, critical reading and math only) and a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must major in athletic training, nursing, or any pre-health profession program. Leadership recommendation is required.

 

Patricia Collins Amaral Memorial Fund

Award: $600, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a senior who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and who has demonstrated the finest qualities of leadership through participation in campus organizations and has rendered service of significant benefit to the campus community.

 

Alumni Association Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate community leadership and have met the award criteria established by the Alumni Association's Scholarship Committee. Applicant must have completed 12 credits last semester and 24 credits at Bridgewater State College as of December 31. Applicants who have transferred from Massachusetts Community Colleges, Dean College, or Quincy College are eligible to apply.

 

Health Sciences Scholarship

Applicant must be a fourth-year medical student entering a primary care internship/residency in West Virginia, be enrolled in the final year of a nurse practitioner, or an undergraduate physician assistant educational program at a West Virginia school.

 

Woman's Guild Scholarship

Applicant must be interested in the pre-medical, pre-dental, physician assistant or physical therapy programs. Minimum 3.8 GPA and 1300 SAT score required.

 

Dr. John and Mrs. Mary Constantine Scholarship

Applicant must be majoring in biology, chemistry, physics, pre-med, pre-dental, or science education.

 

Hans Wilk Scholarship

Dr. Al J. Havlik Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate financial need and plan to pursue a career in the medical profession.

 

Revs. Edmund and Hilary Jurica O.S.B. Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must plan to attend medical, dental, podiatry, veterinary, or optometry school after graduation.

 

William Randolph Hearst Endowed Minority Science Scholarship

John Dewi Davies M.D. Medical Scholarship

Applicant must be a pre-med graduate of Adams State College and have been accepted by an accredited institution pursuing the degree of doctor of medicine.

 

Allen and Nobuko Secha Scholarship

Applicant must be an incoming freshman who recently graduated from high school with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 and scoring in the top 10% on the SAT, ACT, or international equivalent tests; or being in the top 3% of their graduating class. Applicant must intend to pursue a major in chemistry, biology, mathematics, oceanography, or pre-medical studies.

 

Dan & Pauline Lutkenhouse & Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of the Hilo and Hamakua coasts and be majoring in agriculture, medicine, science or nursing.

 

Clark-Phelps Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Oregon or Alaska who is pursuing a degree in dentistry, medicine or nursing at a public college or university on Oregon. FAFSA required.

 

Douglas Community Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Douglas County and a graduate of a Douglas County high school who will pursue a degree in medical technology, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy or public health at a public college or university in Oregon. FAFSA required.

 

Gayle and Harvey Rubin Scholarship

Applicant must be enrolled in full-time graduate study for a degree in law or medicine at a four-year public or nonprofit college or university. FAFSA required.

 

Franz Stenzel M.D. and Kathryn Stenzel Scholarship
