Chipola College Incentive Scholarship Program

The Florida Incentive Scholarship Program is a merit scholarship for Florida high school graduates who receive recognition as a National Merit or National Achievement Scholars. Applicants must earn a standard Florida high school diploma; be a National Merit Finalist or National Achievement Finalist; enroll at an eligible Florida postsecondary institution; be a Florida resident; and enroll full-time (minimum 12 credit hours per term or quarter equivalency) in a baccalaureate degree program.

 

Nursing Education Scholarship Program

Applicants must be Illinois residents, having lived in the state for one year prior to applying and be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Applicants must be accepted to or enrolled in an approved nursing program and demonstrate financial need. Scholarship recipients must agree to work as a nurse in Illinois after graduation.

 

Catherine W. Pierce Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: Open

Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, be pursuing a degree in an art or history discipline, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have unmet financial need that is verified by the college or university financial aid office. UNCF students are encouraged to complete the UNCF General Scholarship application to be matched with scholarships for which they meet the criteria.

 

B.R.I.D.G.E. Endowment Fund FFA Scholarship

American Veterinary Medical Association FFA Scholarship

Applicants must be current FFA members and high school seniors or college students planning to enroll or currently enrolled full-time. They must be pursuing a four-year degree in one of the following subject areas: animal nutrition; animal, dairy, equine or poultry science; animal breeding and genetics; animal pathology or veterinary sciences. Preference will be given to students who are planning to work in the fields of veterinary medicine and veterinary food supply. Robert Eggert Memorial FFA Scholarship

Applicants must have a minimum 3.2 GPA and a proven history of public service and excellence in academics. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

FarmAid FFA Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 8

Applicants must complete the financial analysis part of the application. A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Animal Health International FFA Scholarship

Applicants must be under 23 years of age and current members of FFA. Lou Hochberg Awards

Award: $1,500, Deadline: Open

The Lou Hochberg Awards are given to winning theses and dissertations, university and college essays, high school essays and published articles that focus on Reich's sociological work. There are categories for students, scholars or journalists beginning at high school age through adulthood. A suggested list of topics and a bibliography is available online.

 

Linda Craig Memorial Scholarship Presented by St. Vincent Sports Performance

Award: $2,500, Deadline: April 15

Applicants must U.S. citizens who have completed at least one full year of an undergraduate program majoring in medicine, sports medicine, physical therapy or a related area. They must have a GPA of at least 3.0 and demonstrate outstanding character, integrity and leadership. Applicants may not have received a full scholarship from any other organization.

 

D.W. Simpson Actuarial Science Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 30; October 31

Eligible students must be college seniors majoring in actuarial science who are eligible to work in the U.S. and have taken and passed a minimum of one actuarial examination. Applicants must have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.2 in their major and an overall minimum GPA of 3.0.

 

Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship Fund

Award: $7,000, Deadline: July 1

Applicants must be women of any age pursuing a business or business-related program who demonstrate outstanding potential. Applicants must also have an outstanding academic record in their college career, and they must show intent to complete a business program.

 

John Sarrin Scholarship

Applicants must belong to the Society of Friends. They must be committed to staying drug and alcohol free, and they must agree to never join the armed forces of any country. Students must possess good moral character in order to receive and keep the scholarship.

 

UCC Seminarian Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: March 1

Applicants must be members of a United Church of Christ congregation for at least one year prior to receipt of the scholarship. They must be currently enrolled in an ATS accredited seminary in a course of study to become an ordained minister, and they must maintain at least a B average to receive and keep the scholarship. Applicants should be able to show that they have demonstrated leadership abilities in a church or academic environment. Students must also agree to serve the United Church of Christ or one of its partners after the completion of their studies.

 

The Actors Fund - Career Transition for Dancers Scholarship Program

Award: $2,000, Deadline: Open

Applicants must provide documentation of 100 weeks or more of paid employment as a dance performer in the U.S. over at least seven years. For work not performed under union jurisdiction, applicants must also provide documentation of total gross earnings of at least $56,000. Choreographers and dance teachers are not eligible for this program.

 

Reid Blackburn Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: January 6

Applicants must have completed one year at a full-time four-year college or university, provide a portfolio, demonstrate financial need and must have courses in photojournalism and have at least half a year of undergraduate study left. Applicants can apply to as many NPPA scholarships as desired, but only one award will be granted per winner.

 

Robert B. Oliver ASNT Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicants must be undergraduate students enrolled in an engineering program of an accredited university and specialize in nondestructive testing (NDT). A nominating letter, transcript and an essay describing the role of NDT/NDE in their career are required. The award is based on creativity, content, format and readability and the student's involvement in a research project.

 

Engineering Undergraduate Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: December 15

Applicants must be undergraduate students enrolled in an engineering program of an accredited university and specialize in nondestructive testing (NDT). A nominating letter, transcript, three letters of recommendation and an essay describing the role of NDT/NDE in their career are required.

 

Herbert Levy Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicants must be physics majors, be members of SPS and demonstrate scholarly achievement and financial need.

 

SPS Future Teacher Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicants must be members of SPS and intend to pursue a career in teaching physics. Students must be undergraduate physics majors at least in their junior year of study at the time of application.
