Applicants must be current FFA members and high school seniors or college students planning to enroll or currently enrolled full-time. They must have one of the following undergraduate majors: agronomy, crop science, general agriculture, agricultural communications, education, journalism, extension, public relations, business management, economics, sales and marketing, engineering, mechanization, agriculture power and equipment or welding. Students only need to complete the online application one time to be considered for all FFA-administered scholarships. The application requires information about the student's activities and a 1,000-word essay. Awards may be used for books, supplies, tuition, fees and room and board. Students must show financial need and evidence of community service participation.

Applicants must be female and/or minority (American Indian, Alaska Native, Asian, African-American, Latino, Hispanic, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander) undergraduates who are studying architectural, civil or environmental engineering. They must be accepted at or enrolled full-time at an Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania (AICUP) member institution. They must be rising juniors and must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Employees of Michael Baker Corporation and their family members are ineligible. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

They must major in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, structural engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, engineering technology or surveying. They must plan to make New York State their home and/or career area. Selection is based on work experience (25 percent), college activities and recommendations (15 percent), essay (30 percent) and GPA (30 percent).

They must be pursuing a degree in land surveying or geomatics and must maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or better and a GPA of 3.0 or better in surveying courses. They must have completed at least 20 percent of their program requirements before receiving any scholarship monies awarded. Students must also maintain a 2.4 overall GPA and 2.7 GPA in surveying courses. Preference is given to full-time students seeking a bachelor's degree. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

The programs could include but are not limited to environmental engineering, civil engineering with an environmental minor, chemical engineering with an environmental minor, hydrogeology with an environmental emphasis or biology or microbiology with an environmental emphasis.
