ASCO Numatics Industrial Automation Engineering Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering, instrumentation, systems, electrical, mechanical, or automation discipline at an accredited United States educational institution for the upcoming academic year. At the time of application, applicant must have completed at least their sophomore year in a bachelor's degree program have a minimum 3.2 GPA, and be a United States citizen or legal United States resident. Selection will be based on applicant's potential for leadership and for making a significant contribution to the engineering, instrumentation, systems, electrical, mechanical, and automation professions, particularly as they relate to the application of fluid control and fluid power technology.

 

Toyota Scholarship

Award: $14,000, Deadline: February 1 (December 1 for early action/decision)

Applicant must be admitted to the College of Engineering and Computer Science. Campus visit by April 10 is required.

 

RIT/SAE Engineering Scholarship

Award: $6,000, Deadline: December 15

Applicant must be enrolled in a engineering technology or engineering program. Selection is based upon academic record and leadership abilities.

 

Francis M. Dowd Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be the son or daughter of a permanent Raytheon employee, who has been accepted to the University of Massachusetts Amherst campus as a full-time student in engineering, physical sciences or mathematics. Selection based on academic promise and financial need.

 

The New American Scholarship and Internship Program

Award: $3,000, Deadline: November 15

Applicant must be a Latino student enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year college or university who is seeking a degree in business, engineering (all disciplines), computer science/computer engineering, information systems/decision sciences, mathematics/statistics/sciences. Applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. Selection based up on academic performance, essay responses, extra-curricular/interests/community service, demonstrated leadership, communication/interpersonal skills, and work experience. Program provides a combination of scholarship assistance and a possible structured, multi-year internship for Latino college students. The internships are designed to work with major corporations, and at the same time, provide students with a pathway to high-level careers in the private sector.

 

Riverside Construction Company Harmon/Lounsbury Scholarship Fund

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 2

Applicant must be a high school senior who is planning to attend a college or university as a full-time student and major in engineering (priority will be given to construction or civil engineering). Minimum 3.0 GPA, financial need, and community/school involvement must be demonstrated.

 

The Riverside Construction Company Harmon/Lounsbury Scholarship Fund (First-Year College Students)

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 2

Applicant must be a first-year college student enrolled at California Polytechnic University - Pomona, California Polytechnic University - San Luis Obispo, California State University - Long Beach, or California Baptist University. Applicant must be majoring in engineering; priority will be given to construction or civil engineering majors. Minimum 3.0 GPA, financial need, and community/school involvement are required to be demonstrated.

 

Warren 'Ed' Brown Scholarship Fund

Award: $4,000, Deadline: April 13

Applicant must be a Ukiah High School senior who would like to pursue a career in mathematics or engineering. Minimum 3.5 and financial need are required.

 

Sidney and Katherine Friend Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a first-year student at Polytechnic University who is majoring in engineering. Minimum 2.8 GPA required.

 

Richard Heckert Fellow

Award: $5,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a student who is majoring in an engineering discipline. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

William Randolph Hearst Endowment Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a first- or second-year student who is majoring in an engineering discipline. Minimum 2.8 GPA required.

 

SAME Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: March 18

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or current undergraduate student who is pursuing (or intending to pursue) a degree in an engineering field or related technical sciences, including architecture, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or earth sciences.
