Jewell L. Taylor National Undergraduate Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: January 9

Applicant must be an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in family and consumer sciences.

 

Wiley-Berger Award for Volunteer Service

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 9

Applicant must be an AAFCS member with an outstanding record of volunteer service. Nomination is required.

 

Director's Award

Award: $8,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must meet two of the following: have a minimum 3.0 GPA, rank in the top half of graduating school class, and/or a minimum composite ACT score of 21.

 

Trustee Grant

Award: $18,000, Deadline: March 15 (priority)

Applicant must be a full-time matriculated undergraduate student entering a private college program. Must be a U.S. citizen and demonstrate financial need.

 

Ceramic Grant

Award: $13,000, Deadline: March 1 (priority)

Applicant must be a full-time matriculated undergraduate student who is entering a State-supported program. Must be a U.S. citizen and demonstrate financial need.

 

Housing Grant

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 15 (priority)

Applicant must reside in a university-owned or operated facility.

 

NTA Florida Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: April 1

Applicants should be a permanent resident of Florida who is a full-time or part-time undergraduate student enrolled in a travel-and-tourism- or hospitality-related program of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States, maintaining a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Applicants enrolled at an accredited two-year college, will be entering their second year in the fall of the calendar year of application, and will have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours by the end of this semester or term. Applicants enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university, will be entering junior or senior year in the fall of the calendar year of application, and will have completed a minimum of 60 or 90 credit hours respectively by the end of this semester or term. For a complete application, applicant needs to submit a U. S. passport as proof of citizenship, or U. S. Alien Registration Card as proof of permanent residency, a Florida driver's license as proof of permanent state residency, resume, two evaluations and letters of recommendation (one academic and one professional), an official transcript, and an essay. Essay topic: Discuss what segment of the travel and tourism or hospitality industry your current program of study focuses on. What opportunities are you taking advantage of as you prepare for a career in the industry? Please tell us about your academic and extracurricular activities and experiences, i.e. work, internships, etc., and how they tie into your present and future goals. Mention any awards or commendations you have received relating to the travel and tourism or hospitality industry.

 

NTA Massachusetts Scholarship

Applicant must be a permanent resident of Massachusetts, enrolled as a full-time or part-time undergraduate student in a travel-and-tourism- or hospitality- related program of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the U.S., with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicants enrolled in a two-year college, will be entering the second year in the fall of the calendar year of application, and will have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours by the end of this semester or term. NEEBC Scholarship Award

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate student who is considering a career in a benefits-related area such as: health care program design, pension plan design, implementation or administration, retirement strategies, ERISA and legal aspects of employee benefits, work/life programs, health risk management, institutional investing of retirement savings, multi-employer plans, workers compensation, actuarial and underwriting analysis, or employee benefits communications. Selection will be based upon specific employee benefit related study, activities, and goals, school and community activities, work experience, future potential, and academic performance. Application, transcript, and two recommendations are required to be submitted.

 

President's Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: Early April

Applicant must be enrolled at the University of Michigan for at least two semesters with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant have graduated from a Downriver high school.

 

ISF Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 21

Applicant must be Muslim or an active member of the Muslim community who is enrolled at an accredited university as an undergraduate (sophomore, junior, or senior) or graduate student (including Ph.D.) in the United States who is majoring in one of the sponsor's supported majors as found on their website. Minimum 3.0 GPA and United States citizenship/permanent residence required.

 

Common Knowledge Scholarships

Award: $2,500, Deadline: Monthly

Foundation offers award scholarships through the use of Internet-based quiz competitions with topics that range from common knowledge to specific academic subjects.

 

CU Succeed Scholarship

Award: $8,000, Deadline: May 16

Applicant must be an Arizona Central Credit Union member with a minimum 3.0 GPA who has been accepted to, and is planning to attend an accredited college, university, community college or trade school located in Arizona as a full-time student.

 

Top Ten List Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: December 31

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who is a student 13 years of age or older, and is currently enrolled (or planning to enroll) at an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. Online short written response to the topic, "Create a Top Ten List of the reasons you should get this scholarship" is required.

 

Do-Over Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: June 30

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who is a student 13 years of age or older, and is currently enrolled (or planning to enroll) at an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. Online short written response to the question, "If you could get one 'do over' in life what would it be and why" is required.

 

HSF/General College Scholarship Program

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and plan to enroll as a full-time student in a degree seeking program at a two- or four-year accredited institution in the United States, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam during the upcoming academic year. HSF/Atrisco Heritage Foundation Scholarship Program

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage and is an heir of the Atrisco Land Grant. Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university in the United Stats, Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands majoring in the arts, including but not limited to media, film, performing arts, communications, or writing. HSF/Nissan Community College Transfer Scholarship

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage. Applicant must be currently enrolled at a community college with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and have plans to transfer and enroll as a full-time student pursuing a degree in business, engineering, communications, or media arts at a four-year accredited institution.
