California Mathematics Council - South Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be a Southern California resident and a member of California Mathematics Council - South. Application, college transcripts, and letters of recommendation are required to be submitted.

 

Walt Bartram Memorial Education Award (Region 12 & Chapter 119)

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior who commits to enroll in or who already is enrolled as a full-time college or university student pursuing a degree in manufacturing engineering or a closely related field within the areas of New Mexico, Arizona, or Southern California. Applicant must be a resident of one of those states and be a current SME Chapter member (with the exception of high school students who may apply without any SME member relationship). A minimum 3.5 GPA is required.

 

West Valley Material Recovery Facility Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 secondary school GPA and minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1000. Preference given to graduating seniors from a high school in San Bernardino or Riverside counties.

 

HSF/Cien Anos Scholarship Program

Award: $10,000, Deadline: May 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage and at least 21 years of age by April 15. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and plan to enroll as a full-time student in a degree seeking program at a two- or four-year accredited institution in the United States, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam during the upcoming academic year. FAFSA is required.

 

HSF/HSBC-North America Scholarship Program

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage and enrolled as a full-time student in a degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university in the United States, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam with a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Applicant must be a current undergraduate sophomore or a current community college student who is planning on transferring to a four-year college or university; thus having junior status in the upcoming academic school year. Resume and FAFSA are required. Program will begin as of fall 2009.

 

HSF/Nissan Community College Transfer Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage. Applicant must be currently enrolled at a community college with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and have plans to transfer and enroll as a full-time student pursuing a degree in business, engineering, communications, or media arts at a four-year accredited institution. FAFSA is required. Program will begin as of fall 2009.

 

HSF/Procter & Gamble Company Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 28

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and have plans to enroll as a full-time student in a degree-seeking program at an accredited institution in the United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam during the upcoming academic year. FAFSA is required. Program will begin as of fall 2009.

 

Reginald Keith Edmond II Scholarship Fund

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a high school within the Riverside Unified School District who is currently participating in a team sport and who plans to attend a two- or four-year college/university as a full-time student. Minimum 2.5 GPA, financial need, and community/school involvement must be demonstrated. Recipient must be able to attend the Reginald Keith Edmond II Walk-a-thon program on April 7.

 

Riverside Construction Company Harmon/Lounsbury Scholarship Fund

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 2

Applicant must be a high school senior who is planning to attend a college or university as a full-time student and major in engineering (priority will be given to construction or civil engineering). Minimum 3.0 GPA, financial need, and community/school involvement must be demonstrated.

 

The Riverside Construction Company Harmon/Lounsbury Scholarship Fund (First-Year College Students)

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 2

Applicant must be a first-year college student enrolled at California Polytechnic University - Pomona, California Polytechnic University - San Luis Obispo, California State University - Long Beach, or California Baptist University. Applicant must be majoring in engineering; priority will be given to construction or civil engineering majors. Minimum 3.0 GPA, financial need, and community/school involvement are required to be demonstrated.
