Education Matters Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: November 30

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who is a student 13 years of age or older, and is currently enrolled (or planning to enroll) at an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. Online short written response to the question, "What would you say to someone who thinks education doesn't matter, or that college is a waste of time and money" is required. Free scholarship search profile at sponsor's website is also required to be completed.

 

Housing Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be able to demonstrate financial need. Award provides students with an affordable living option. Recipients will live in a home-like setting where they work in cooperative partnership to purchase and prepare meals and assume responsibility for household tasks. Recipients are responsible for their fair share of household expenses such as food and utilities. Each student contributes approximately $950 per semester.

 

Allied Healthcare Scholarship Program

Selection is based upon financial need, career objectives within the next five to 10 years, community involvement, community background, and academic performance. Recipient commits to a one-year service obligation service practicing direct patient care in a medically underserved area (MUA) of California.

 

Licensed Vocational Nurse Loan Repayment Program

Award: $6,000, Deadline: n/a

Selection is based upon work experience in a medically underserved area, amount of debt, professional goals within the next five to ten years, community service and membership organizations, and community background. Recipient commits to practice direct patient care for two-years in a medically underserved area (MUA) of California. Program looks to increase the number of vocational nurses practicing in medically underserved areas of California and assist licensed vocational nurses in repaying educational debt that was incurred as a result of pursuing a license in vocational nursing.

 

Transfer Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a transfer student with a minimum 3.0 GPA and at least 30 transferable credit hours.

 

Allentown/Harrisburg Diocese Employee Award

Award: $1,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a full-time employee or the dependent child of an employee of an Allentown or Harrisburg Diocese.

 

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Applicant must be a transfer student holding current membership in Phi Theta Kappa.

 

Community Outreach

Applicant must be a resident or graduate of a high school within the following Pennsylvania counties: Berks, Chester, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Montgomery, and Schuylkill.

 

Sibling Award

Award: $1,000, Deadline: None

Award is offered to dependent siblings (two or more) currently enrolled simultaneously. Siblings must maintain academic progress as defined by the institution.

 

President's Service Awards

Award: $12,000, Deadline: January 1

Applicant must have strong academic records and significant involvement in service/civic engagement activities in their schools and/or communities.

 

Lucia A. Wright Piano Scholarship

Award: $2,100, Deadline: May 15

Applicant must be between the ages of 17 and 25 who is a resident of the state of Maine. Applicant must be a music major in the fall semester at any accredited music school, college, or university. Audition (not to exceed 15 minutes) requires applicants to perform at least two memorized compositions from two different periods (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, or Modern).

 

Honors Transfer Scholarship

SJC Transfer Scholarship

Top 10% Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must rank in the top 10% of a Texas public high school. Award may not be stacked with other awards.

 

Jewish Educational Loan

Award: $2,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a Jewish resident of the Washington, DC metropolitan area who is enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program or vocational training program in the United States.

 

Sahm/Goldman Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a Jewish resident of the Washington, DC metropolitan area and have completed a minimum of two years of undergraduate study. Priority is given to applicants who are traveling to Israel for the first time. Selection is based upon financial need and academic merit.

 

Academic Leadership Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: None

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a minimum composite 22 ACT score (1030 SAT Reasoning). Interview and essay are required.

 

University Academic Scholarship

Award: $6,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a minimum composite ACT score of 22 (1030 SAT Reasoning).

 

Faculty Merit Academic Scholarship

Award: $7,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and a minimum composite ACT score of 25 (1140 SAT Reasoning).

 

Academic Scholarship for National Merit Semi-Finalist/Finalist

Award: -, Deadline: February 1 (December 1 for early action/decision)

Applicant must be a National Merit Semi-Finalist who becomes a Finalist and lists the university as their first choice with the National Merit Corporation by April 1 of their senior year.

 

Sibling Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: February 1 (December 1 for early action/decision)

Applicant must be the sibling of a current student at the university; the older student will receive the award.

 

Scouting Scholarship

Award: $13,750, Deadline: February 1 (December 1 for early action/decision)

Applicant must have earned the Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout, Girl Scouts of the USA Gold Award, Sea Scouting Quartermaster Award, or Venturing Silver Award. Academic criteria for admission to the university is required to be met.

 

Fine Arts Scholarships

Award: $15,000, Deadline: February 1 (December 1 for early action/decision)

Selection is based upon high school record: GPA, difficulty of courses, class rank, and SAT or ACT scores. Audition or portfolio presentations for those applying to the Departments of Art, Music and Theatre are required. Talent may influence the award amount.

 

Academic Scholarship

Selection is based upon high school record: GPA, difficulty of courses, class rank, and SAT or ACT scores.

 

National Need for Nursing Scholarship

Applicant must be directly admitted to the university's nursing program with a combined SAT Reasoning score (critical reading and math) of 1530 or higher (minimum ACT score of 23). Campus visit before April 10 is required.

 

American Corporate Scholarship

Award: $14,000, Deadline: February 1 (December 1 for early action/decision)

Applicant must be admitted the the Schroeder Family School of Business Administration. Campus visit by April 10 is required.

 

Toyota Scholarship

Award: $14,000, Deadline: February 1 (December 1 for early action/decision)

Applicant must be admitted to the College of Engineering and Computer Science. Campus visit by April 10 is required.

 

First Choice Award

Applicant must be a Twenty-first Century Scholars who has been accepted to the university and fits the following criteria: 3.7 high school GPA and minimum 1710 combined SAT Reasoning critical reading and math score (minimum ACT score of 25).

Applicant must be the child, grandchild, or great-grandchild of a University of Evansville graduate.

 

United Methodist Scholarship
