Dick Curtis Memorial Rodeo Scholarship

Award: $100, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a member of the Cochise College rodeo team and have a 2.5 or higher GPA.

 

Don and Virginia Butterfield Scholarship - Graduate

Award: $500, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a Cochise College graduate pursuing higher education at a university in addition to having and maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

 

Doyle T. Smith, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be enrolled in the aviation maintenance technology program, be recommended by aviation staff, and have a 3.0 or higher GPA.

 

Dr. and Mrs. Rehurek Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a returning student with the academic goal of a bachelor's degree. Applicant must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours, be enrolled full-time at the College, and maintain a GPA of 3.25 or higher.

 

Dr. Ralph Arnold Nursing Scholarship

Award: $750, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a full-time nursing student with a career goal of becoming a nurse, while also having and maintaining a 2.5 or higher GPA.

 

Fred and Annie Roeben Jazz Scholarship

Award: $50, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a student who is a participant in the jazz ensemble and improvisation classes, have a letter of reference from a jazz/music instructor at the college, and be a part-time student.

 

Guy Hollis Memorial Scholarship

Award: $250, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a full-time student majoring in mathematics who has a 3.0 or higher GPA. A recommendation by a college math instructor is required.

 

Helen Mulholland Memorial Scholarship

Award: $400, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a returning student who has completed a minimum of 12 credit hours at the College. Applicant must have declared secondary science education or math education as a major or be pursuing an associate of science degree. Academic achievement must be demonstrated, while applicant must have and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher. The majority of applicant's classes must be on the Douglas Campus.

 

Herrmann Scholarship

Award: $200, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a Benson High School graduate and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Recommendation by high school counselor is required.

 

Howard V. Barker Memorial Scholarship

Award: $250, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a full-time Cochise student with a 2.0 or higher GPA. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

International Student Scholarship

Award: $100, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a Hispanic student considered a non-resident of Arizona who has completed 12 or more College credits, with at least nine units in ESL. A 350- to 500-word letter stating reasons for deserving scholarship is required.

 

J. Douglas and Lille S. Wright Scholarship

Award: $600, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a Douglas High School graduate, be attending Cochise College full-time, and have a 2.5 or higher GPA. Successful applicants must demonstrate ambition to succeed and good citizenship, as well as an ability to succeed academically.

 

Jessica Baylis Bousfield and Mary Hrones Parsons Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a student enrolled in a minimum of one visual arts course at Cochise College with a 3.0 or higher GPA. Academic achievement, financial need, and a recommendation by an art faculty member are required. Preference will be given to Bisbee High School graduating seniors or graduates.

Applicant must be a full-time student with a minimum 2.0 GPA.

 

Joyce Kovacs Scholarship

Award: $50, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a Buena High School Junior who is planning on taking courses at Cochise College during his/her high school senior year.

 

Kenneth Gunter Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be an agriculture major, with a 2.0 or higher GPA, and can score team points at one NIRA rodeo. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Lisa Diane (Smith) Speer, RN Scholarship

Award: $250, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a full-time student enrolled in the Cochise nursing program with a career goal of emergency room or trauma nursing. Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 or higher GPA. Selection is based upon academics and financial need, while preference will be given to a single parent.

 

Manny Rivera Memorial Scholarship

Award: $300, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a graduate of a Cochise County high school or equivalent program and be enrolled full-time at Cochise College. Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and be planning on attending a four-year institution. Academic achievement and financial aid must be demonstrated.

 

NCMA Denver Chapter Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: Varies

Applicant must be a high school senior who is intending to enroll, or college student who is currently enrolled, in a college or university and working on a degree in a contracting or business field of study. A 250-word essay must be submitted about who the applicant is, why they are interested in contracting or business as a profession, what their career goals are and how they plan to obtain them. College applicants must be currently enrolled in a contracting or business field of study and high school students must enroll in a contracting or business field of study within one year of award.

 

Robert D. Blue Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 10

Selection will be based upon, high school GPA, financial need, three references, and a 500-word essay. Applicant must be able to demonstrate literary and scholastic ability; exhibit qualities of truth, courage, and fellowship; and display moral force of character. Applicant must be an Iowa resident who is planning to attend, or currently attending an eligible Iowa School.

 

Iowa Farm Bureau Federation Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1 (postmark date)

Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or community college, or if still in high school, must have an expected graduation date in the spring. College applicants must be working toward a degree in either agriculture and/or agribusiness. Must be the son/daughter of an Iowa Farm Bureau member.

 

Messiah College Grant

Award: $12,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be able to demonstrate financial need.

 

Transfer Academic Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a transfer student with a cumulative 3.5 GPA who is transferring a minimum of 15 credits.

 

Financial Need Scholarship

Applicant must file a FAFSA and demonstrate financial need according to the school's formula.

 

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Applicant must be a Phi Theta Kappa member who is an incoming transfer student with an A.A. or A.S. degree and minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA. Application must be submitted by e-mail to ptk@leeuniversity.com.

 

Orfalea Migrant Education Scholarship Award

Award: $1,700, Deadline: January 11

Applicant must meet one of the following criteria: be an incoming sophomore, junior, or senior who participated in CAMP (College Assistance Migrant Program) during their freshman year at a participating CSU or community college; be a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior who participated in the Migrant Education program at a Ventura County high school; be an incoming graduate student who participated in CAMP or the Migrant Education Program.

 

Ryan Orfalea Scholarship

Award: $3,500, Deadline: January 11

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or high school graduate from schools in the Ventura County who plan to attend full-time at an approved vocational school, community college, or four-year university/college. Applicant must be the son or daughter, legally dependent step child, or ward of a regular full-time employee based at a Kinko's corporate office in Ventura County. The employee must have completed a minimum of three years eligible employment prior to December 31, 1996.

 

Margaret A. Tompkins Oxnard Monday Club Scholarship

Award: $600, Deadline: January 11

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or high school graduate who is a female and resident of Oxnard, CA. Applicant must be intending to enroll or is currently enrolled at an accredited junior college, college, or university with a minimum 3.5 GPA. Preference is given to business and science majors.

 

Orfalea Scholarship Award

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 11

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or Ventura County high school graduate enrolling or already enrolled at an accredited vocational school, community college, or four-year college or university. Applicant must be an early childhood education or teaching major, or any major provided applicant is able to meet at least one of the following requirements: has a documented learning difference/is a non-traditional learner; is under 24 years of age and has a parent employed as a nurse, teacher (pre-K to grade 12), or at a non-profit agency; is under the age of 24 and is the child of a single parent; has completed the Montana Yellowstone Expedition Summer Program.

 

Orfalea Health Field Scholarship Award

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 11

Applicant must be a Ventura County high school senior or graduate enrolling or already enrolled at an accredited vocational school, community college, or four-year university in a health-related field. Essay is required and it must specify intent to practice in Ventura County upon completion of studies.
