American Indian Endowed Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must have close social and cultural ties to an in-state American Indian tribe or an American Indian community in Washington State. Applicant must be a Washington State resident who is enrolled as a full-time student at an eligible Washington college or university by the fall term of the award year. Financial need is required.

 

Kottis Family Award

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a woman, single, a member in good standing for at least two years of Daughters of Penelope or Maids of Athena or the daughter of an Ahepan or Daughter of Penelope, a resident of the U.S., Canada, or Greece, and be enrolled for at least nine units per academic year. Selection is based upon scholastic records and extracurricular activies.

 

Olivia James Traveling Fellowship

Award: $25,000, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen. Preference is given to projects of at least a half year's duration and to students of the archaeology, architecture, classics, history, and sculpture. Award is for travel and study in the Aegean Islands, Asia Minor, Greece, Mesopotamia, Sicily, or southern Italy and is not intended to support field excavation projects.

 

Harriet and Leon Pomerance Fellowship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be a United States or Canadian citizen or permanent resident, or be actively pursuing an advanced degree at a North American college or university. Fellowship is to support an individual project related to Aegean Bronze Age archaeology. Preference is given to candidates whose project requires travel to the Mediterranean.

 

Anna C. and Oliver C. Colburn Fellowship

Award: $11,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen or permanent resident and must apply to and be accepted as an incoming associate member or student associate member of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. Applicant may not be a member of the American School during the year of application. Fellowship is to support studies undertaken at the American School of Classical Studies in Athens, Greece for not more than one year.

 

Helen M. Woodruff Fellowship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Fellowship, with other funds from the American Academy in Rome, will support a Rome Prize Fellowship.

War Orphan's Scholarship

Applicant must be a the child of a veteran who died of a service-connected disability and who was a Minnesota resident at time of entry into active duty attending an accredited school in Minnesota other than the U of Minnesota System. Howard Hughes Medical Institute Predoctoral Fellowship in Biological Sciences

Applicant must submit GRE scores and be a U.S. citizen. If not a citizen, applicant must attend U.S. educational institution and submit TOEFL scores if English is not primary language. Applicant must have completed less than one year of post-baccalaureate work toward a Ph.D. or Sc.D. following completion of undergraduate or medical degree.

 

Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship for Minorities

Applicant must be U.S. citizen or national who is an Alaskan Native, Native American, black/African-American, Mexican American, Pacific Islander, or Puerto Rican. Applicant must have completed no more than 30 semester/45 quarter hours of graduate work in fields eligible for support.
