Applicant must be a high school senior who is interested in environmental health sciences and the pursuit of a higher education.

 

Beauty Schools Marketing Group $2,500 Cosmetology Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 31; April 30; July 31; October 31

Applicant must be planning to attend school in one of the following programs as a full-time student: barbering, beauty, cosmetology, cosmetology teacher training, electrolysis/electrology/laser hair removal, esthetics/skin care, hair design/hairstyling, makeup artist, nail technology, permanent makeup artist, hair braiding/natural hairstyling, or salon management.

 

Suart & Lucille Armstrong Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be an Episcopalian in the Diocese of West Virginia; preference will be given to applicants from St. Christopher, Charleston. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Burns Memorial Scholarship

Award: $700, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Sissonville High School with plans to attend West Virginia University. Financial need and minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Cavalier-Nichols Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be attending a college or university in West Virginia. Minimum 3.5 GPA and 25 ACT required. Preference to those attending West Virginia University Institute of Technology.

 

Charleston Chapter of West Virginia Society of CPAs

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior who is a resident of Kanawha or Putnam County who plans to enroll in the field of accounting. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

J.D. Cutlip Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Webster County High School. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

John Culver Wooddy Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: June 16

Applicant must be a college senior who has successfully completed at least one actuarial examination. Applicant must rank in the top quarter of their class and have been nominated by a professor at their school.

 

Actuarial Diversity Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student who is pursuing a degree that may lead to a career in the actuarial profession.

 

Actuary of Tomorrow - Stuart A. Robertson Memorial Scholarship

Award: $7,500, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be an undergraduate student pursuing a career in actuarial science.

 

Caribbean Actuarial Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: July 13

Applicant must be a student at the University of the West Indies who demonstrates a strong record of accomplishment, leadership qualities, and commitment to becoming an actuary.

 

Burl Cockrell Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: July 15

Applicant must be a member or the immediate family member of the Texas Environmental Health Association who is enrolled in an accredited college or university. Preference will be given to those who have chosen major coursework in an environmental and/or public health-related field.

Applicant must be a junior or senior high school student in a western North Dakota school or a home-schooled student in western North Dakota of equivalent grade level. Applicant must live in or go to school in one of the following North Dakota counties: Adams, Billings, Bottineau, Bowman, Burke, Burleigh, Divide, Dunn, Emmons, Golden Valley, Grant, Kidder, Logan, McHenry, McIntosh, McKenzie, McLean, Mercer, Morton, Mountrail, Oliver, Pierce, Renville, Rolette, Sheridan, Sioux, Slope, Stark, Ward, Wells, or Williams.

 

High Hopes Scholarship Program

Applicant must be a Berkeley public high school student who will be attending a college or university in the fall. Minimum 2.5 GPA is required.

 

Reginald Keith Edmond II Scholarship Fund

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a high school within the Riverside Unified School District who is currently participating in a team sport and who plans to attend a two- or four-year college/university as a full-time student. Minimum 2.5 GPA, financial need, and community/school involvement must be demonstrated. Recipient must be able to attend the Reginald Keith Edmond II Walk-a-thon program on April 7.

 

Riverside Construction Company Harmon/Lounsbury Scholarship Fund

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 2

Applicant must be a high school senior who is planning to attend a college or university as a full-time student and major in engineering (priority will be given to construction or civil engineering). Minimum 3.0 GPA, financial need, and community/school involvement must be demonstrated.

 

The Riverside Construction Company Harmon/Lounsbury Scholarship Fund (First-Year College Students)

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 2

Applicant must be a first-year college student enrolled at California Polytechnic University - Pomona, California Polytechnic University - San Luis Obispo, California State University - Long Beach, or California Baptist University. Applicant must be majoring in engineering; priority will be given to construction or civil engineering majors. Minimum 3.0 GPA, financial need, and community/school involvement are required to be demonstrated.

Applicant must be a Mendocino County public high school senior who plans to attend a four-year college or university to study education. Selection is based upon ability and aptitude for a teaching career, prior academic performance, and community and/or extracurricular activities.

Applicant must be a Mendocino County public high school senior who plans to attend a four-year college or university to pursue a career in music. Selection based upon commitment to music, proven talent, and positive outlook; prior academic performance; and community and/or extracurricular involvement.

Applicant must be a Mendocino high school senior who plans to attend a four-year college or university. Selection is based upon potential for academic success, financial need, and community and/or extracurricular activities.

Applicant must be a Mendocino, Fort Bragg, or Point Area high school senior who plans to attend a four-year college or university and study the performing arts, including music, dance, theatre, film, and puppetry. Selection based upon potential for career success in the performing arts and their prior academic performance. Minimum 3.0 GPA is desired, but not required.

Jonathan Family Scholarship

Applicant must be a Laytonville High School senior who plans to attend a vocational school, community college, or four-year college/university. Selection based upon financial need; their qualities of diligence, perseverance, and selflessness; and desire to pursue studies in music, art, architecture, building construction and/or design.

 

Ryan & Collin Petitte Memorial Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a Ukiah-area high school senior who is interested in attending a vocational school, community college, or four-year college/university. Selection is based upon their strong family bond and sense of humor; their interest in pursuing a career in wildlife conservation, environmental resource management or economics; their community or school activities (including hobbies, interests, and non-traditional activities); and financial need.

 

David Joseph Talamo Memorial Athletic Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a Ukiah High School senior who plans to attend a vocational school, community college, or four-year college/university. Selection based upon sense of humor and love of family; for their participation in organized sports throughout high school; and for prior academic performance. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

Applicant must be a Ukiah High School senior who plans to attend Mendocino College. Selection is based upon prior academic performance, involvement in the golf team and/or a desire to pursue a career in nursing, and financial need. Minimum 3.0 GPA is required.
