Applicant must be planning to attend school in one of the following programs as a full-time student: barbering, beauty, cosmetology, cosmetology teacher training, electrolysis/electrology/laser hair removal, esthetics/skin care, hair design/hairstyling, makeup artist, nail technology, permanent makeup artist, hair braiding/natural hairstyling, or salon management.
Award: $1,000, Deadline: August 6
Applicant must be a United States resident who has applied to or is enrolled as a full-time beautician/cosmetology student. Essay detailing applicant's most meaningful achievement and how it relates to a future as a hairstylist is required.

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a minimum 3.0 GPA who is currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college/university. Required to write a 500 to 800 word post on a website, blog, or online forum on this topic: "How technology is revolutionizing the beauty industry, and how artistic skills need to be merged with technical skills to be a successful professional."

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen, U.S. citizen, or permanent resident enrolled at a college/university with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Required to write a 800 to 1000 word post on a website, blog, or online forum on the following topic: "Express your ideas about how beauty trends influence beauty schools and vice versa." Transcripts and proof of residence also required.
