Applicant must be a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces and attend an Illinois public university or community college.

 

Illinois National Guard Grant

Award: $2,350, Deadline: October 1

Applicant must have proof of current service in the National Guard and attend an Illinois public university or community college.

 

Grant Program for Descendants of Police, Fire, or Correctional Officers

Applicant must be the descendant of a police, fire, or correctional officer killed or disabled in the line of duty and attend an approved Illinois school.

 

MIA/POW Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: Year-round

Applicant must be the natural child, legally adopted child, step-child, or spouse of a veteran or service person who has been declared by the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs to be a prisoner of war, missing in action, have died as the result of a service-connected disability or be permanently and totally disabled from service-connected causes with 100% disability, and who, at the time of entering the service, was an Illinois resident or an Illinois resident within six months of entering service. Applicant must attend an Illinois state supported college or university.

 

Morgan L. Fitch Scholarship

Applicant must be an Illinois resident enrolled in a real estate related program and have a minimum 3.5 GPA. Applicant must be enrolled at University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana.

 

Academic Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be an Illinois resident enrolled in a real estate related field at a school in Illinois.

 

Italian American Chamber of Commerce Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: August 15

Applicant must be of Italian ancestry and be a resident of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, Will, or McHenry County in Illinois. Applicant must be a full time student who has a minimum 3.5 GPA (4.5 on 5.0 scale). Selection is based upon the applicant's good moral character, scholastic achievement, and sincerity of interest in attending or finishing college.

 

AMVETS Post #100 Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a single Illinois resident attending school in Illinois who is the child of a veteran. ACT scores, transcripts, rank in class, and tax forms are required to be submitted.

 

William Price Memorial Scholarship

Award: $750, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an Illinois resident attending school in Illinois, be single, be the child of a veteran, and submit ACT scores, transcripts, rank in class, and tax forms.

 

Worchid Scholarship

Award: $100, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an Illinois resident attending school in Illinois, and submit ACT scores, transcripts, rank in class, and tax forms. Applicant must be a Worchid, which means the child of a deceased veteran who served after September 15, 1940 and was honorably discharged.

Mt. Garfield Non-Resident Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and a resident of any state other than Colorado, and have a minimum 3.2 GPA.

 

Northrop Grumman Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 28

Applicant must be a female full-time student at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Engineering. Focus on one of the following disciplines is required: civil and materials, electrical and computer, computer science, or mechanical engineering. Applicant must show evidence of above average academic performance (minimum GPA 3.0/4.0). Women of color (African American, Latina, Native American) are encouraged to apply. Application coversheet, biographical statement, current resume or CV (list your education and employment history), UIC transcript, proof of financial aid eligibility, proof of U.S. citizenship (copy of birth certificate or passport), and two letters of recommendation (include at least one from a UIC instructor) required.

 

TELACU Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 17

Applicant must be a first-generation college student from a low-income family, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and be a full time student. Applicant must be a permanent resident of one of the specified communities in California, Illinois, Texas, or New York. Selection is based upon academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and financial need. Priority will be given to applicants majoring in business, science, technology, engineering or math, and who are attending institutions with matching funds and/or are located in Southern California.

 

Illinois AMVETS Service Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must attend an Illinois high school and submit their ACT or SAT Reasoning scores.

 

Out-of-State Fee Stipend

Award: $2,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA or rank in the top quarter of class, have a minimum composite ACT score of 24, and may not be a resident of Missouri.

Applicant must be the child or grandchild of an alumni and may not be a resident of Missouri. Entering freshman applicants must have a minimum 3.5 GPA or rank in the top quarter of class and have a minimum composite ACT score of 24. Transfer applicants must have completed at least 24 credit hours and have a minimum 3.25 GPA.

Francis Walton Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must have at least 5 WPM certification and be attending or planning to attend a regionally accredited school. Preference is given to residents of Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.

 

American Legion Americanism Essay Contest
