Applicant must be a first-generation college student from a low-income family, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and be a full time student. Applicant must be a permanent resident of one of the specified communities in California, Illinois, Texas, or New York. Selection is based upon academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and financial need. Priority will be given to applicants majoring in business, science, technology, engineering or math, and who are attending institutions with matching funds and/or are located in Southern California.
Renewable if recipient submits a renewal application, participates in an interview, maintained a minimum 2.5 GPA, volunteered a minimum of 20 hours of community service, remains a full time student, and attended all sessions of the College Advisement and Leadership Program.
