Timmins, Kroll & Jacobsen Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicants must be Iowa residents, be incoming freshmen at an Iowa college or university and have experience in 4-H and/or FFA livestock projects. They must have plans to major in animal science, agriculture or a related subject. Preference will be given to applicants from Polk County. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Northwest Nazarene University - Tuition Waiver Exchange Program

Award: $25,000, Deadline: December 31

The program allows the children of faculty members, staff and administrators of Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) affiliated colleges to attend a CCCU-affiliated college tuition free. The Tuition Waiver Exchange Program (TWEP) is open to undergraduate dependents of full-time faculty, staff and/or administrators who have been at the sending institution for one full year prior to TWEP participation. Students admitted under the program are automatically renewed for up to four years as long as the student remains in good standing. Students apply directly to the institution(s) of their choice and must meet normal admissions requirements. Applicants should contact the admissions office at the 'sending institution' to begin the process.

This merit based program encourages top ranked high school seniors to attend college. To be eligible applicants must be a Missouri resident and a United States citizen or permanent resident; have a composite score on the ACT or SAT in either: the top 3 percent of all Missouri students, or the top 4th or 5th percentiles of all Missouri. Applicants must also enroll as a first time student and receive the scholarship in the academic year immediately following high school graduation.

Applicants must be Iowa residents who are enrolled at or who plan to enroll at a two-year or four-year postsecondary institution located in Iowa. They must be majoring in or have plans to major in an agriculture-related undergraduate program that focuses on swine production. They must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who either are attending a school located in Delaware or are Delaware residents. They must have plans to enroll in an ABET-accredited engineering program in the fall following high school graduation. They must have a minimum SAT verbal score of 500, a minimum SAT math score of 600 and a minimum SAT writing score of 500. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Applicants must be Kansas residents and high school graduates who are planning to enroll at a Kansas postsecondary institution. They must be recommended for the award by a member of the Kansas Agricultural Aviation Association (KAAA) and must demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students who are majoring in or planning to major in agriculture, agricultural business, aviation or engineering. Selection is based on academic merit and financial need.
