Scholarships in High School Senior

Northwest Missouri State University Bright Flight Program

Award: $3,000, Deadline: August 1

This merit based program encourages top ranked high school seniors to attend college. To be eligible applicants must be a Missouri resident and a United States citizen or permanent resident; have a composite score on the ACT or SAT in either: the top 3 percent of all Missouri students, or the top 4th or 5th percentiles of all Missouri. Applicants must also enroll as a first time student and receive the scholarship in the academic year immediately following high school graduation.

 

Pennsylvania Engineering Foundation Grant

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicants must be Pennsylvania residents and must be rising undergraduate freshmen who plan to attend a Pennsylvania college or university that has an ABET-accredited engineering degree program. They must have a GPA of 3.6 or higher, an SAT Verbal score (or ACT equivalent) of 600 or higher and an SAT Math score (or ACT equivalent) of 700 or higher. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Carson-Newman University - Tuition Waiver Exchange Program

Award: $25,000, Deadline: December 31

The program allows the children of faculty members, staff and administrators of Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) affiliated colleges to attend a CCCU-affiliated college tuition free. The Tuition Waiver Exchange Program (TWEP) is open to undergraduate dependents of full-time faculty, staff and/or administrators who have been at the sending institution for one full year prior to TWEP participation. Students admitted under the program are automatically renewed for up to four years as long as the student remains in good standing. Students apply directly to the institution(s) of their choice and must meet normal admissions requirements. Applicants should contact the admissions office at the 'sending institution' to begin the process.

Applicants must be Pennsylvania residents who are incoming undergraduate freshmen at a Pennsylvania college or university that has an ABET-accredited engineering program. They must have plans to study engineering, have a GPA of 3.6 or higher and have an SAT Math score of 700 or higher and an SAT Verbal score of 600 or higher. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and residents of Pennsylvania. They must be accepted into or enrolled in a two- or four-year degree program in land surveying. Selection is based on academic merit, statement of purpose, extracurricular activities and recommendations.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and be rising undergraduate freshmen, sophomores or juniors who have a high school diploma or a GED. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. They must plan to enroll or be enrolled at an 1890 Land Grant institution and have plans to major in agriculture; agriculture business/management; agriculture economics; agricultural engineering/mechanics; agricultural productions and technology; agronomy or crop science; animal science; botany; farm and range management; fish, game or wildlife management; food services/technology; forestry and related services; home economics/nutrition/human development; horticulture; natural resources management; soil conservation/soil science or other related disciplines (e.g., biological sciences, pre-veterinary medicine or computer science). They must also have proven leadership skills and must have experience with community service. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

R. Flake Shaw Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicants must be North Carolina students who are pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree in an agriculture-related subject. They must be planning to pursue a career in agriculture and demonstrate leadership ability and financial need. Preference will be given to applicants who are the family members of Farm Bureau members. Selection is based on academic merit, character, stated career goals and financial need.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and full-time students pursuing either a certificate, associate or baccalaureate degree in the electric energy arena including: power plant technology, electric line working, power line technology, electrical power technology, electrical line worker technology, electrical distribution systems, utility line technician and traditional or alternative power generation technology. Selection is based on future goals in the electric energy arena, motivation, service and academic performance.
