Associated General Contractors of Vermont Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont pursuing education or training in a field related to construction. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

AWSEF Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is a current USA Water Ski member. Applicant must be a sophomore belonging to a 2 to 4 year accredited college. Selection is based upon academic qualifications, leadership, extracurricular involvement, recommendations, and financial need. Applicant must submit a 500 word essay.

 

Law Enforcement Officers Dependents' Scholarship

Award: -, Deadline: June 1 (summer, fall); November 1 (spring, summer)

Applicant must be a resident of Arkansas who is the dependent child or spouse (who has not remarried) of a person who was killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty as law enforcement officers in the State of Arkansas or certain Highway and Transportation Department employees. Applicant must be under 23 years of age (except for spouses).

 

Council of Fellows Undergraduate Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: November 15

Applicant must be an active IIE member, be enrolled full time, and have a minimum 3.4 GPA. Selection is based on scholastic ability, character, leadership, potential service to the profession, and financial need.

 

Susan Rappaport Knafel '52 Scholarship for Foreign Study

Award: $25,000, Deadline: February 5

Applicant must be a woman and a graduating senior of Wellesley Coll who plans graduate study in any field and displays a desire for learning and an ability to impart knowledge and judgment to others. Award will fund a year of study at a foreign institution to pursue a specific subject that requires contact with foreign scholars, libraries, or other resources. Preference is given to those who have not previously held the award. Selection is based upon merit and need.

 

Scholar in Clinical Research

Award: $110,000, Deadline: September 1

Applicant must hold an M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent degree. Applicant is expected to hold an independent faculty-level position or equivalent for a minimum period of three years, and to have obtained substantial research support from a national agency. Proposed projects must relate to leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.

 

War Orphans Education Program

Award: -, Deadline: Third Monday in July (fall); first Monday in December (spring)

Applicant must be the child of a veteran who died during wartime service or from an illness or injury resulting from wartime service. Applicant must be between ages 16 to 23, a West Virginia resident, attend a state-supported school in West Virginia, and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.

 

Hong Kong Association of Northern California Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be a bilingual (Chinese/English) undergraduate or graduate student in the SFSU College of Business or Economics. Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and be able to demonstrate financial need and academic excellence.

 

Dollars 4 Tic Scholars Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school senior entering college or current college student. Minimum 2.5 GPA and letter of diagnosis of Tourette Syndrome are required.

 

Student Diversity Scholarship

Applicant must have a world view or life experience which can enhance the diversity of the school's learning community. Applicant must be enrolled in a degree program. Financial need may be considered.

Applicant must have a minimum high school 3.3 GPA and composite ACT score of 22-23 (combined SAT score of 1030-1100, excluding essay).

 

St. Angela Merici Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA and have a minimum composite ACT score of 26(SAT Reasoning score of 1170 or higher).

 

Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Fellowship

New York Council Navy League Scholarship

Applicant must be the dependent of a regular/reserve Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard service member who is serving on active duty, retired with pay, or died in the line of duty or after retirement. Applicant must be a resident of Connecticut, New Jersey, or New York.

Margaret Freeman Bowers Fellowship

Applicant must be a woman and a graduate of Wellesley Coll who is planning for her first year of full-time graduate study in the field of law, public policy/public administration, or social work, including M.Bus.Admin. candidates planning a career in social services. Mary Elvira Stevens Traveling Fellowship

Applicant must be a woman and a Wellesley Coll graduate, be at least age 25 in year of application, and submit application, personal and financial need statements, supporting materials, and letters of recommendation. Award is for one full year of study or travel outside the U.S. Any artistic, cultural, or scholarly purpose may be considered.

Applicant must be a member of the OAH who is working toward the completion of a dissertation or first book. Stipend is for travel and lodging expenses.

 

4-H Postsecondary Scholarship

Applicant must be a 4-H member and be a Maine high school student in high academic standing who is entering a post-secondary institution within one year of graduation. Applicant must submit application form, transcript, and other materials.

 

American Council of Independent Laboratories Scholarship

Awards granted for study only within United States. Applicant must submit a resume or personal statement, two letters of recommendation, transcripts, and information on any other scholarships or grant aid that is currently being received. Selection is based upon applicant's academic achievement, career goals, leadership, and financial need.

 

Community College Scholarship

Applicant must be a community college student over the age of 16. Three open-ended, personal, and thought-provoking questions must be answered. Applicants with the most persuasive, compelling, and well-written responses will be considered finalists.

 

Rolex European Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a certified SCUBA diver between the ages of 21 and 24 (by March 1), have a good academic record, and pass a medical physical exam. Applicant should be interested in a career in an underwater field. Award is for a year of intensive travel.

Harold E. Ennes/Robert Greenberg Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: July 1

Applicant must have a career interest in the technical aspects of broadcasting and must be recommended by two members of the SBE. Preference is given to SBE members and applicants who are employed at least part-time in broadcast engineering. Recipient must submit 400- to 500-word technical paper on broadcast engineering topic at end of award term.

 

Ramsay and Elaine O'Neal Scholarship
