Vermont Alliance for Arts Education (VAAE) Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from Vermont who will pursue a degree in the arts at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need, academic achievement and significant skill and talent in an artistic medium must be demonstrated.

 

Achieving Curricular Excellence (ACE) Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.4 GPA (minimum GED score of 290) and minimum composite ACT score of 24 (combined SAT I score of 1110). Financial need is not considered.

Department of National Defense Security and Defense Forum (The Forum)/Ph.D. Scholarship

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and hold a master's degree prior to award. Preference given to applicants at the dissertation stage, when course work is completed. Knowledge of both official languages required.

 

Educational Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,250, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a high school student who is majoring in accounting or a college junior, college senior, or student at the master's level who is a member of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants and able to meet the minimum credit requirements.

 

Lee A. Lyman Memorial Music Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont pursuing a degree in a music-related field at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Vermont Hand Crafters, Inc., Artisanship Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will pursue a degree in a visual arts field at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

President's Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA (high school) and a composite ACT score of 27-28 (combined SAT score of 1220-1290, excluding essay).

 

Kirtland Kiwanis Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a resident in the Kirtland (Ohio) School District and have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and maintain this GPA during the school year. Request application with self-addressed, stamped envelope.

 

C.D. Howe Scholarship

Award: $5,500, Deadline: May 30

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and be graduating or have graduated within the last year, with a minimum grade average of A- in his or her top OAC's or Grade 13 subjects. Applicant must be a resident of Thunder Bay or one of the following school boards: Lakehead, Lakehead District Roman Catholic, Lake Superior, North of Superior District Roman Catholic Separate School, Geraldton, Geraldton District Roman Catholic Separate School, Nipigon-Red Rock, Hornepayne. Award amount is in Canadian dollars. Award may be used at Canadian degree-granting institutions only.

Applicant must be Canadian citizen or permanent resident and hold an honors bachelor's degree or equivalent prior to award. Knowledge of both official languages required.

 

ASGC Fellowship

Award: $22,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must submit a research proposal related to space and including an extramural research experience at a NASA field center, plan to be involved in ASGC outreach activities, and demonstrate career interests congruent to NASA's aerospace, science, and technology programs. Selection is based upon research proposal, letters of recommendation, resume, standardized test scores, and transcript.

 

Vermont Lakes and Ponds Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will pursue a degree in environmental studies at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement, financial need and community service/involvement must be demonstrated.

 

RMCMI Scholarship

Award: $2,750, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student and be a resident of one of the RMCMI member states: Arizona, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Texas, Utah, or Wyoming.

 

Presidential Scholarship

Award: $11,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must have a minimum composite ACT score of 30 or be a National Merit Finalist or Semi-Finalist/National Achievement Finalist.

 

Sarah Perry Wood Medical Fellowship

Applicant must be a woman and a graduate of Wellesley College. Selection is based upon merit and need.

 

Youth Scholarship

Collegiate Academic Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school graduate or equivalent with a minimum 2.0 GPA, and must be a resident of northern California or be attending a school in northern California.

 

Susan Rappaport Knafel '52 Traveling Fellowship

Award: $22,000, Deadline: February 5

Applicant must be a woman who is graduating from Wellesley Coll. Awarded to a member of the graduating class who displays an interest in and acceptance of others, and who displays the ethos of a Wellesley education. Award will fund a year of travel abroad with the requirement that the recipient not remain in the same area for more than two months. Preference is given to those who have not previously held the award. Selection is based upon merit and need.

Margaret Dale Philp Award

Award: $3,000, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be a woman who is a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant who is enrolled in a graduate studies program in the humanities or social sciences. Special consideration is given to study in Canadian history only as a deciding factor, all else being equal. Applicant must reside in Canada.

 

International Space University Summer Program

Award: $25,000, Deadline: January 27

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and a graduate student or anyone who received an undergraduate or graduate degree within five years prior to start of summer session. Fourth-year undergraduate students who intend to pursue a master's degree in September are also eligible. Applicant must be conversant in English and one other language.

 

Suburban Hospital Casey Scholarships

Award: $5,000, Deadline: November 30; April 30

Applicant must be a current employee who is enrolled in a nursing or allied health (e.g. radiology technology, respiratory therapy, medical technology, physical therapy, physical therapy assistant, occupational therapy, or physician assistant) undergraduate program or a non-employee who is enrolled in a nursing program leading to a B.S.N. or higher. Minimum 2.5 GPA, two letters of recommendation, transcript, and letter of acceptance/good standing required. Award requires a work commitment at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD, upon completion of degree program.

 

Albert W. Dent Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a minority who is a full-time student entering the fall term of their final year of classroom work in a healthcare management graduate program. Applicant must be a student associate of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Financial aid must be demonstrated.

 

AASA Educational Administration Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: October 15

Applicant must be an outstanding graduate student in school administration who intends to make school superintendency a career.

 

Sorantin Young Artist Award

Award: $2,000, Deadline: October 9

Applicant must be a pianist or string player (viola, violin, cello, or bass). Recipient will also receive a performance with the San Angelo Symphony (an additional $1,000 performance fee). Piano and string division winners will each receive $2,000 and runner-ups will receive $1,000. Honorable mentions also awarded totaling $1,000.

 

Music Performance Scholarship

Applicant must have outstanding performance skills in instrumental, keyboard, or vocal music.

Burlington Northern Santa Fe Foundation Scholarship

Applicant must be a Native American with proof of tribal enrollment or a certificate of Indian blood, plan to attend a four-year, accredited educational institution full time, and live in one of the states served by the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Pacific Corp. and its affiliated companies.

 

The American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program - 'A Constitutional Speech Contest'

Award: $875, Deadline: January 1

Applicant must compete in and win the High School Constitutional Speech Contest. An oration of eight to ten minutes on some phase of the United States Constitution and a three to five minute oration on an assigned topic drawn at random are required to be presented.
