Dean's Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA (high school) and composite ACT score of 24-26 (combined SAT score of 1110-1210, excluding essay).

 

ODKF Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is a resident of Hawaii and attending an accredited school full-time. Personal letter of intention, a list of competitive sports and awards, a letter from an athletic coach or trainer, tax return, transcripts, two letters of reference, and a recent photo are required to be submitted.

 

RehabGYM Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who has overcome a significant physical challenge or illness and will attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Presidential Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 29

Applicant must have a grade average of 88 to 91.

 

Young Physician Section Rural Student Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 31; February 1

Applicant must reside in rural areas of Texas and intend to pursue a career in science or medicine. Essay, official transcript, and two letters of recommendation required.

 

Women's Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: July 31

Applicant must be a female college student over the age of 16. Three open-ended, personal, and thought-provoking questions must be answered. Applicants with the most persuasive, compelling, and well-written responses will be considered finalists.

 

Competitive Scholarship for Transfers from Two-year Colleges

Award: $2,000, Deadline: May 15 (fall); October 15 (spring)

Selection is based upon academic qualifications, extracurricular activities, leadership, and a written essay.

Sarah Rebecca Reed Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be accepted in an American Library Association-accredited program for the fall semester and have earned no more than 12 semester hours.

 

Rockefeller State Wildlife Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: July 1

Applicant must have earned 60 or more hours of graded college credit with a cumulative 2.5 GPA. If applicant is enrolled in a post-graduate program in an eligible college or university as a full-time student, applicant must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA on all credits earned in graduate school and be pursuing a graduate degree in forestry, wildlife, or marine science as it pertains to wildlife.

 

Foster G. McGaw Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a student associate of the American College of Healthcare Executives and be able to demonstrate financial need. Applicant must be a full-time student entering the fall term of their final year of a healthcare management graduate program.

 

Hatterscheidt Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must be a resident of South Dakota, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and show financial need.

 

Nontraditional Student Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must have been out of high school for at least five years and have completed at least one semester (12 credit hours) of full-time college work with a minimum 2.75 GPA.

National Education Loan

Award: $2,500, Deadline: April 25

Applicant must be a full-paid life member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary attending a college, university, or vocational school in the United States. One new applicant per family per year will be considered except in the case of multiple births (i.e. twins, triplets).

 

St. Andrew's Society Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must be able to cite their Scottish descent, have a meritorious academic record, and be able to demonstrate financial need. Applicant must be enrolled in an United States or Scottish institution for the third or fourth year of College or University or full-time graduate study. British applicants must have been born in Scotland, American citizens must maintain permanent residence in the Mid-Atlantic Region (defined as Washington, D.C., Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, or Virginia). Special consideration to those whose work contributes toward enhancing knowledge of Scottish history or culture.

 

Maine Rural Rehabilitation Fund Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: June 15

Applicant must be a Maine resident enrolled, or accepted for enrollment in a full-time, two-year, vocational degree or advanced degree in program leading to a career in agriculture. Applicant must be able to demonstrate an unmet financial need that must be overcome in order to pursue a higher education. Minimum 2.7 cumulative GPA or 3.0 GPA is required.

 

Aviation Scholarship Program

Award: $3,000, Deadline: July 8

Applicant must be a resident of Pennsylvania who is interested in an aviation career. Applicants for the Professional Pilot category must hold a student pilot certificate and be able to show proof that they have soloed.

 

F.H. Knight Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and be admitted to a graduate program.

 

Hogan Entrepreneurial Leadership Program Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must submit a completed application, two letters of recommendation, a minimum 1250 SAT score (composite ACT score of 28). Selection is based upon an interview, leadership, creativity and service to others. Applicant must have an interest in entrepreneurship, and take a curriculum that involves a concentration in area of study. Applicant must be accepted to the Hogan Entrepreneural Leadershp Progam, and tuition waiver for credit hours over 18 per semester.

 

Institutional Scholarship

Ascutney Mountain Audubon Society Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of one of the following Vermont towns: Andover, Ascutney, Athens, Baltimore, Bellows Falls, Bridge water, Cavendish, Chester, Grafton, Hartland, Londonderry, Ludlow, Perkinsville, Plymouth, Pomfret, Reading, Rockingham, Saxton's River, Springfield, Weathersfield, Westminster, Weston, West Windsor, Windsor, or Woodstock. Applicant must be pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and community involvement/service must be demonstrated.

 

Lyle Mamer Fellowship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be pursuing graduate work toward an advanced degree in any phase of the utility industry. Selection is based upon academic aptitude, vocational promise, character, financial need, and willingness to continue a career in a field related to electrical energy. These fields include communications, education, electrical engineering, electric utilities, extension work, housing and home furnishings, journalism, manufacturers of electrical household equipment, marketing, radio, research, and television.

 

Christian Worker Dependent Discount

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be the dependent of a full-time Christian worker involved in non-profit ministry as a missionary, pastor, or Christian school teacher/administrator. Must demonstrate need.

 

Dorothy J. Thurston Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a graduate-level student attending an accredited school in the US, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and have been a resident of Kent County, Mich. for at least two years, (at time of application or prior to college study). Selection is based upon academic achievement, extracurricular activities, personal statement, and financial need.

 

Texas College Work-Study

Carol A. Hurley Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a graduating from Randolph Area Vocational Center, Whitcomb, Windsor, or Woodstock Union High School who will attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need, community involvement and minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA required.

 

Kilbourn-Sawyer Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont pursuing a degree in construction or engineering at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Vermont Police Association: Raymond R. Mooney Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will pursue education or training in a field related to emergency services at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Edna V. Moffett Fellowship

Award: $12,000, Deadline: Early January

Applicant must be a young alumna of Wellesley College planning a first year of study, preferably in history. Preference is given to those who have not previously held the award. Selection is based upon merit and need.
