Cal Grant C

Award: $2,592, Deadline: March 2

Applicant must be a California resident pursuing a vocationally-oriented course of study at a two-year community college, two-year program within a college, or vocational school in California. Selection is based upon financial need, academic qualifications, and aptitude, interest, and experience in chosen vocational field.

 

Marshall Foundation Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an Arizona resident, graduate of an Arizona high school, U.S. citizen or permanent resident, a woman, and demonstrate financial need. Preference is given to ethnic minorities.

 

Valedictorian Scholarship

Award: $4,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a resident of one of the following counties: Desoto, Marshall, Tate, or Tunica, MS; or Crittenden, AR. Applicant must be the valedictorian of their secondary school class and meet the admission requirements of the school.

 

Community College Transfer Scholarship

Award: $6,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a transfer student who is graduating from a Tennessee community college with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA.

 

Advantage Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be an entering college freshman who is a Tennessee resident with the following: minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1050 (composite ACT score of 23), minimum 3.0 GPA, and have a family adjusted gross incoming of $80,000 or less as indicated on the FAFSA. At least one of the following criteria required: be part of an underrepresented ethnic population, be a first generation college student as indicated on the FAFSA, or be a resident of one of the following rural West Tennessee counties: Benton, Carroll, Chester, Crockett, Decatur, Dyer, Fayette, Gibson, Hardeman,Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Henry, Lake, Lauderdale, Madison, McNairy, Obion, Tipton, or Weakly.

 

NSA Scholarship Award

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 10

Applicant must be a graduate of a Virginia public school who is enrolled as an undergraduate and majoring in accounting at a Virginia college of university.

 

AIAA Undergraduate Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must have completed at least one academic quarter or semester of full-time college work with a college GPA of not less than the equivalent of a 3.3. Applicant must intend to enter into some field of science or engineering encompassed by the technical activities of AIAA. Selection will be based upon academic achievement, career, goals, recommendations, and extracurricular activities. Upon receipt of award, recipient must become an AIAA student member.

 

American Society for Enology and Viticulture Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of North America, demonstrate financial need, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA for undergraduate award (minimum 3.2 GPA for graduate award).

 

Mary McLeod Bethune Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen who is a Florida resident and a full-time student. Applicant must not owe a repayment or be in default under any state or federal grant, loan, or scholarship program unless satisfactory arrangements to repay have been made. Financial need is required.

 

Rosewood Family Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a direct descendant of Rosewood families affected by the incidents of January 1923. Initial Student Florida Financial Aid Application is required for verification. Applicant must not owe a repayment or be in default under any state or federal grant, loan, or scholarship program unless satisfactory arrangements to repay have been made. FAFSA is required.

 

ANS Delayed Education for Women Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a woman, must have experienced at least a one-year delay or interruption in undergraduate studies, be entering a four-year curriculum at a U.S. institution, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, and have proven academic ability. Applicant must demonstrate financial need, and must be sponsored by an ANS local section, division, student branch, committee, member, or organization member.

 

AMS Industry/Government Graduate Fellowship

Award: $23,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident entering first year of graduate school at an accredited U.S. institution pursuing a full-time course of study in the atmospheric or related oceanic or hydrologic sciences over a full academic year.

 

Jefferson Caffery Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum composite ACT score of 30 or be a National Merit semifinalist. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required.

 

Regents Professional Opportunity Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be beginning or already enrolled in an approved degree-bearing program of study in New York State that leads to licensure in a particular profession. Purpose of award is to increase representation of minority and disadvantaged individuals in New York State licensed professions.

 

Presidential Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: June 15

Applicant must be a resident of Colorado with a minimum admission index between 129 and 136.

 

Academic Scholars

Award: $5,500, Deadline: Mid-August

Applicant must be an Oklahoma resident at or above the 99.5 percentile on ACT or SAT, or be a resident or nonresident who is a National Merit scholar or finalist.

 

BAC Bates Scholarship

Applicant must be the child of a BAC member.

 

Memorial Foundation Education Grant

Award: $6,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be the child of a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles or its Ladies Auxiliary who died from injuries or diseases incurred or aggravated in the line of duty while serving in the Armed Forces (U.S., Canada, Philippines, Mexico, United Kingdom), as a law enforcement officer, or as a full-time or volunteer firefighter or EMS officer. Applicant must attend college or vocational school, be unmarried, and be under 25 years of age.

 

Curator's Scholarship

Award: $7,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Missouri resident who is an incoming full-time freshman student. Minimum composite ACT score of 28 (or SAT equivalent) and rank in top 5% of secondary school class required.

 

John B. Ervin Scholarship

Selection is based upon academic merit.

 

America's Junior Miss

Award: $30,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, a high school senior, have never been married, and be a legal resident of the district or state she represents. Selection is based upon panel evaluation (30%), scholastic achievement (20%), creative and performing arts (20%), fitness (15%), and poise (15%).

 

Texaco Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, a woman, a SWE member, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be in an ABET-accredited engineering program, engineering at SWE-approved institution, or computer science in a CSAB-accredited program or at an ABET-accredited or SWE-approved institution.

 

Navy League Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is the dependent or direct descendant of an active, reserve, retired or honorably discharged member of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, U.S.-flag Merchant Marine, or U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps. Applicant must be a high school senior graduating this year and who plans to enter an accredited college or university this coming fall. Minimum 3.0 GPA and financial need required.

 

In-State Presidential Scholar

Applicant must be an in-state first-time freshman with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and minimum composite ACT score between 30 and 36 (combined SAT Reasoning score between 1330 and 1600).

 

UA Scholar

Applicant must be an out-of=state first-time freshman student with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and minimum composite ACT score between 30 and 31 (combined SAT Reasoning score between 1330 and 1390).

 

Curators Scholar Award

Award: $3,500, Deadline: August 15

Applicant must be a Missouri resident, rank in the top 5% of class, and have a minimum composite ACT score of 28 (combined SAT I score of 1250).

 

Eastman Kodak Scholarship

Applicant must be the child of an Eastman Kodak employee, be a U.S. citizen, rank in top quarter of class, and be a National Merit scholar. Selection is based upon academic excellence without regard to financial need.

 

Joseph and Virginia Altschuller Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time entering freshmen in any area of study with a minimum 2.75 high school GPA. First preference will be given to graduates of Woodward High School.
