Applicant must be a full- or part-time entering freshman or continuing student (traditional and non-traditional students may apply) who will be a graduate of Waite or Libbey high schools in Toledo, Ohio. Financial need will be considered and a minimum 2.5 GPA or higher is preferred. FAFSA is required.

 

William F. Rohr Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be an entering freshman student who is a Woodward High School graduate majoring in engineering. Selection is based upon financial need and merit.

 

Henry R. Kreider Scholarships in Chemistry

Celia Koontz Findlay Scholarship in Elementary Education

Applicant must be a United States citizen who is a sophomore, junior, or senior enrolled in the Judith Herb College of Education, majoring in elementary and/or early childhood education with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Selection is primarily based upon financial need. Extracurricular and community activities may be considered particularly past or current involvement in church-related activities. Gottshall-Rex Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a senior at an accredited Utah high school, public or private, who will be entering as a freshman.

 

National Oratorical Contest Scholarship

Award: $19,000, Deadline: December

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident under 20 years of age, must be attending high school or junior high, and must compete in the American Legion oratorical contest at the national level. Award must be used at a college or university in the U.S. for actual school costs, including tuition, room and board, fees, and books.

 

Air Force ROTC College Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, meet medical and physical qualifications, and be eligible for commissioning prior to age 27. High school applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, rank in the top two-fifths of class, and have a minimum composite ACT score of 24 (combined SAT I score of 1100).

 

Education Trust Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and full-time undergraduate or graduate student. Applicant must submit recommendations, statement, transcripts, and proposed study program (four copies of each). Selection is based upon academic excellence.

 

United States Senate Youth Program

Award: $5,000, Deadline: Varies by state

Applicant must be a permanent U.S. resident who attends a college in the same state in which their parent or guardian resides. Applicant must hold an elected student office. Selection is based upon outstanding ability and demonstrated qualities of leadership. Selection is made by the Department of Education of each state.

FRA Non-Member Scholarship Program

Applicant or applicant's sponsor must be an FRA non-member, living, on active duty, reserve, retired, or honorably discharged veteran of the Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard. Applicant must be an FRA non-member; spouse; dependent biological/step/adoptive child; or biological/step/adoptive grandchild of the FRA non-member. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, registered as a full-time student in an accredited college located in the United States.

 

FRA Member Scholarship Program

Miss Teenage America Annual Competition

Pablo Neruda Prize for Poetry

Dr. Charles A. Preuss Medical Award

Caterpillar Scholars Award

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in a manufacturing engineering degree program in the United States or Canada who has completed a minimum of 30 college credit hours and is looking for a career in manufacturing engineering. Preference will be given to students who have participated in a STEPS camp.

 

Myrtle and Earl Walker Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in a degree program in manufacturing engineering or technology in the United States or Canada. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, have completed a minimum of 15 college credit hours or one semester, and be seeking a career in manufacturing engineering or technology.

 

Clinton J. Helton Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in a degree program in manufacturing engineering, technology or related field of study at Colorado State University or the University of Colorado (all campuses). Applicant must have completed a minimum of 30 college credit hours and be looking for a career in manufacturing engineering or manufacturing engineering technology. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.

 

William E. Weisel Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student with a minimum 3.0 GPA, who is enrolled in an engineering or technology program in the United States or Canada, with a minimum of 30 college credit hours already completed. Preference will be given to a student seeking a career in robotics or automated systems used in manufacturing. Consideration will be given to students who intend to apply their knowledge in the sub-specialty of medical robotics.

 

SEMA Memorial Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college, university, or post-secondary vocational/technical program in the United States. Applicant must have completed half of their total curriculum requirements/classroom hours by the application deadline in a field leading to a career in the automotive aftermarket or related field. Minimum 2.5 GPA required. Recipient must remain a full-time student for their first full semester, quarter, or term following receipt of the award.
