Study Abroad Scholarship

Applicant must be a college student who is currently studying abroad, has studied abroad in the past, or has chosen a study abroad program that they will soon be embarking on. Applicant must submit a photo along with a description of no more than 200 words on how that photo describes what you learned from studying abroad.

Applicant must be a graduate or graduating senior of a Montana high school who will attend the University of Michigan or Harvard College. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Davidson Companies Continuing Education Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be an employee of Davidson Companies subsidiaries who has been employed for at least one year and works a minimum 20 hours per week. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

James Dyson Award

Applicant must be a current student or a student who graduated within the past four years who is majoring in/majored in product design, industrial design, or engineering. Applicant must have studied in one of the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States. Minimum award amount in British Pounds is #1,000 and maximum is #10,000.

 

Robert W. Thunen Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student (junior or senior) at an accredited four-year college or university who would like to study illumination as a career; graduate applicants must be undertaking a lighting-centered project as part of work towards a graduate degree. Statement of Purpose and minimum of three letters of recommendation are required to be submitted.

 

Girls Leadership Council: Dottie Lamm Leadership Award

Applicant must be chosen to participate in a one-week intensive residential summer program on the University of Denver campus (program provided at no charge to participants). At the end of the program, two exemplary participants will receive the award.

 

Fred & Lena Meijer Scholarship

Applicant must be a Meijer Team Member or child (natural, legally adopted, or step-child) of a Meijer Team Member who has been employed for a minimum of one year at the time of the application deadline. Children of Team members must be full-time students to apply, while Meijer team member applicants may be part-time students.

 

Noyce Scholars Program

Applicant must be an undergraduate student who majored in mathematics, biology, chemistry, or physics who plans to become a secondary-level teacher. Award begins with paid, education-related internships for 50 first- or second-year students (10 students per year). Among many valuable experiences, some participants serve as teaching assistants for Elon Academy, a college-access program for students with financial need and/or no family history of college. Two-year scholarships encourage talented STEM majors to complete a Teacher Education program to earn licensure (grades 9-12) in addition to their bachelor's degree in mathematics, biology, chemistry or physics. Three cohorts (6 students per year) receive a $21,900 scholarship during both their junior and senior years.

 

Odebrecht Award for Sustainable Development

Applicant must be an undergraduate student in an engineering, architecture, building/construction management, or chemistry field. Applicant must submit a paper that outlines contributions to sustainability.

 

SkillsUSA Machining Championship Award

Applicant must be a winner from a SkillsUSA state competition and be attending the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference this year. During the conference, students will complete agains each other, manufacturing parts using these sills: manual turning, manual lathe, CNC programming (turning and milling).

 

Visine Students with Vision Scholarship Program

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or enrolled college student who demonstrates a clear and unique vision and strong ambition and determination to bring their dream to life. Academics, leadership in community service, extracurricular activities, and applicant's personal stories of how they are moving toward their goal will be considered.
