Applicant must be a resident of one of the following Michigan counties for at least six months: Kent, Allegan, Ionia, Ottawa, Montcalm, or Musegon. Applicant must be a US citizen or eligible non-citizen and be a resident of Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, or Texas. Undergraduate applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Graduate applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA either in all graduate coursework or in the last 60 credits of undergraduate coursework. Financial need is considered.

 

National Merit Awards

Award: $8,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a National Merit Finalist or Semi-Finalist, and must have listed U of Southern Mississippi as his or her first-choice institution.

 

Distinguished Scholar Award

Award: $16,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student with outstanding academic qualifications.

 

President's Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: January 5

Applicant must be a resident of Louisiana and be graduating from an accredited Louisiana school. Minimum composite ACT score of 30 and 3.0 GPA are required.

 

Thomas Edwin Nott IV Endowed Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Spartanburg County S.C. or Mecklenburg County N.C., and must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.

 

Wachovia Student Scholars Annual Program

Academy of Chefs Chair's Scholarship

Applicant must be an outstanding minority osteopathic medical student who is committed to osteopathic principals and practice, has excelled academically, and has proven to be a leader in addressing the educational, societal, and health needs of minorities.

Applicant must be a resident of Colorado, have a minimum 3.65 GPA, and have completed at least twelve credit hours of transferable course work at an accredited community college in the State of Colorado immediately prior to transfer to CU-Denver.
