Ingram/Burger King Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate of Arab High School, a resident of Marshall County in Ala., and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Creative and Research Fellowship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must need financial assistance to complete a work of art that is already in progress or to publish a manuscript of study which has been completed. Applications are considered for assistance with projects in humanities, physical or natural sciences, social sciences, and education. Not more than two grants will be made annually in any category.

 

Grant for Projects that Enhance Korean Studies Teaching

Award is to offer support for planning, workshops, and materials related to teaching about Korea or integrating Korean studies topics in broader categories of instruction.

 

Instructional Materials for Korean Studies Grant

Delta Kappa Gamma XI Chapter Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Mesa County, Colo., and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

John W. Glock Scholarship

Retha Stone Baker Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate of Marshfield High School and be interested in teaching.

 

Minority Teacher Loan

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Wisconsin resident attending a Wisconsin college or university, be enrolled in a program leading to teacher licensure, and be African-American, American Indian, Hispanic, or Southeast Asian from Laos, Cambodia, or Vietnam admitted to the U.S. after December 31, 1975. Applicant must submit FAFSA and be nominated by the Financial Aid department. Recipient must agree to teach in a Wisconsin school district participating in the inter-district pupil transfer (Chapter 220) program.

 

The Native American Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: June 15

Applicant must be an enrolled tribal member who plans on working with a tribe or nation in the field of education or social service. Applicant must be accepted or already enrolled in an undergraduate program and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to applicants entering his/her junior year. Financial need is considered.

 

Education Club Scholarship

Award: $400, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an active education club member and a degree-seeking student enrolled in at least 12 semester hours full time or nine semester hours in first semester and student teaching in second semester, have a minimum 3.75 cumulative GPA, have completed six semester hours of education at Texas A&M U - Texarkana and have a minimum 3.75 GPA in education courses, and must be a resident of Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, or Texas residing in school's service area.

 

Carlson Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate of any secondary school in Coshocton, Guernsey, Muskingum, or Tuscarawas counties in Ohio. Application and essay required. Scholarship offered in exchange for a three-year commitment to teach math or science in a Coshocton County public school.

 

North Dakota Parent Teacher Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a North Dakota resident and the child of a North Dakota resident. Transcripts, essay, and three letters of recommendation required.

 

Carrol C. Hall Memorial Scholarship

Award: $900, Deadline: May 18

Applicant must be a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon who plans to become a teacher or pursue a profession in science, has a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, and is a full-time student in good standing. Applicant should demonstrate leadership within his chapter, on campus, and in the community.

 

Francis J. Flynn Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon, be a full-time student, and have a minimum cumulative 2.75 GPA. Applicant should demonstrate leadership within his chapter and campus organizations. Preference given to members of Theta-Sigma chapter.

AOS Student and Postdoctoral Research Awards

Applicant must be enrolled full-time in College of Education or PROTEACH program. Selection is based upon financial need. Preference is given to children of public school teachers.
