Applicant must be a Wisconsin resident attending a Wisconsin college or university, be enrolled in a program leading to teacher licensure, and be African-American, American Indian, Hispanic, or Southeast Asian from Laos, Cambodia, or Vietnam admitted to the U.S. after December 31, 1975. Applicant must submit FAFSA and be nominated by the Financial Aid department. Recipient must agree to teach in a Wisconsin school district participating in the inter-district pupil transfer (Chapter 220) program.
Award must be repaid through a work-service agreement (25% of loan forgiven for each year recipient teaches in an eligible school district) or at 5% interest.
