David T. and Jeanette Lewis Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must have superior academic achievement and be in need of financial aid

 

Jacob Javits Fellowship

Award: -, Deadline: August 31

Applicant must not have completed his or her first year of graduate school and the fifth year of a five-year baccalaureate/master's degree is applicable. Applicant must demonstrate financial need and submit a FAFSA application.

 

Mellon Fellowship

Award: -, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be applying for a Ph.D program and cannot hold a Master's degree.

 

Ronnie Thomas Anthropology Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: February 14

Applicant must be a full-time student with a minimum 3.0 GPA and a minimum of 45 credit hours (including 16 credit hours of Anthropology coursework).

 

ISF Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 21

Applicant must be Muslim or an active member of the Muslim community who is enrolled at an accredited university as an undergraduate (sophomore, junior, or senior) or graduate student (including Ph.D.) in the United States who is majoring in one of the sponsor's supported majors as found on their website. Minimum 3.0 GPA and United States citizenship/permanent residence required.

 

Midwest Student Exchange Program

Award: -, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be a resident of Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin, or North Dakota. Minimum 3.4 GPA and combined SAT Reasoning score of 1090 (composite ACT score of 25) required. Applicant must be majoring in one of the majors listed on sponsor's application page.

 

Ella Brehm Scholarship

Award: $600, Deadline: None

Applicant must be a Massachusetts resident with a minimum of 30 completed credits. Applicant must be majoring in chemistry, mathematics/computer science, physics, anthropology, psychology, or biology. Financial need required.

 

Shauna May Memorial Scholarship

Award: $2,886, Deadline: February 3

Applicant must be a full-time junior or senior at Evergreen State College majoring in the humanities.

 

Squint and Juanita Moore Scholarship

Award: $750, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a student from Montrose County, CO who has an interest in pursuing a career in archaeology and/or anthropology. Financial need is required.

 

Bachelor's Degree Scholarship in Social Sciences

Award: $500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be pursuing a bachelor's degree full-time in a social science related major. Selection is based on academic history, extracurricular activities, and employment history.

 

Undergraduate Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 27

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is member of one of the following ethnic groups: African American/Black, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, or Native American/Alaska Native. Must be a full-time undergraduate student majoring in public relations, marketing, advertising, anthropology, communications, English, graphic design, or sociology. Minimum 2.75 GPA, reference letter, resume, and unofficial transcript OR acceptance letter required.

 

Graduate Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 27

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is member of one of the following ethnic groups: African American/Black, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, or Native American/Alaska Native. Must be a full-time graduate student who has a minimum of two academic semesters or one year left to complete master's degree majoring in public relations, marketing, advertising, anthropology, communications, English, graphic design, or sociology. Minimum 3.2 GPA, reference letter, resume, and unofficial transcript required.

 

Virtuous Prom Peace Scholarship

Award: $250, Deadline: January 31

Applicants must be female students who are are majoring in theology, sociology or anthropology. Applicants will submit a 500+ word essay using the prompt: "In a world that is devastated almost daily by acts of extreme violence in the name of religion or against those of different ethnicity, how can a solid education in theology, anthropology or sociology enable you to promote peace, understanding, tolerance and kindness not only at an academic level, but also in your day to day life?" Jordanian Graduate Student Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicants must be Jordanian graduate students enrolled in a Jordanian university. Students must be pursuing degrees related to Jordan's cultural heritage such as archaeology, anthropology, linguistics/epigraphy, history, conservation, museum studies and cultural resource management.
