Awards for Study in Scandinavia

Award: $23,000, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who has completed their undergraduate education by the start of their project in Scandinavia. Applicant must have a well-defined research or study project that makes a stay in Scandinavia essential and should have some ability in the language of the host country. First priority will be given to an applicant who has not previously received an ASF award.

 

General College Scholarship Program

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 6

Applicant must be a college student who is a United States citizen or legal permanent resident and is of Hispanic heritage. Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student in a degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university in the United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam.

 

Big Y Scholarship for Academic Excellence

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must attend school or have their permanent residence in western or central Massachusetts, Norfolk County, MA, or the state of Connecticut. Applicant must be planning to attend an accredited college or university. Selection is based upon transcript of grades, college board scores, letters of recommendation, and personal resume. Two Ten Footwear Design Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 14

Applicant must be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen who is studying design and is enrolled in a recognized design program with a focus on footwear. Awards are based on design potential, academic record, and financial need. Design portfolio is required. Scholarship is offered to students interested in pursuing a career in Footwear Design. Applicant must be a student ranging from the high school to graduate school levels who is an United States citizen or permanent resident with a minimum 2.4 GPA and attending (or planning to attend) a college or university program for the next school term. Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholarship Contest

Applicant must be a high school or college/university student who is a legal resident of the United States or Canada and is enrolled during the latter half of the academic year. Greeting card design is required to be submitted. Judging criteria will be used to determine the recipient: overall aesthetic appeal; quality of execution; creativity and originality; successful incorporation of design elements; appropriateness for use as a greeting card; attractiveness to The Gallery Collection's corporate and consumer customers; suitability as a design in Prudent's Gallery Collection greeting card line.

 

Tennessee Math and Science Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program

Award: $10,000, Deadline: September 1 (fall); February 1 (spring); May 1 (summer)

Applicant must be a tenured teacher teaching in a Tennessee public school system who is seeking an advanced degree in math or science or certification to teach the subject area of math or science. Recipient must agree to teach math or science in a Tennessee public school system for two academic years for each year funded by the program; must not have a break in enrollment for more than 12 months; program of study must be completed within five years. The award for all years of study must not exceed $10,000.
