Applicants must be members of the Iowa Golf Course Superintendents Association (GCSA). They must be Iowa residents or must be non-residents of Iowa who are enrolled at a postsecondary institution located in Iowa. They must be studying turfgrass management or a related subject. Roy W. Likins Scholarship

Award: $25,000, Deadline: May 15

Applicants must be undergraduate upperclassmen or graduate students who are enrolled at an accredited postsecondary institution located in Florida. They must be majoring in a subject that is related to the drinking water industry and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a four-point scale. Previous recipients of this award are ineligible. Selection is based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, character and stated career goals.

 

SHPE Scholarship Program

Applicants must be members of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE). They must be current undergraduates or entering graduate students who are pursuing degrees in engineering, science or a construction-related discipline. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, Florida residents and undergraduate upperclassmen who are majoring in dietetics. They must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher on a four-point scale. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

Southwest Park and Recreation Training Institute Student Scholarships

They must be majoring in recreation, recreation administration, park administration, landscape architecture or a related subject and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher on a four-point scale. Thomas E. Desjardins Memorial Scholarship

Applicants must be civil engineering undergraduates or graduate students who are enrolled at an accredited postsecondary institution in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Vermont. They must demonstrate an interest in transportation engineering through their coursework or extracurricular activities. Selection is based on academic merit, character and extracurricular activities.

 

Pennsylvania Society of Tax and Accounting Professionals Scholarships

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students who are enrolled at a college or university located in Pennsylvania. They must be majoring in accounting, must have completed 60 credits or more of their degree program and must have a GPA of 3.0. Selection is based on academic achievement, leadership, extracurricular activities and financial need.

 

Prize in International Insolvency Studies

Applicants must be undergraduate students, graduate students or practitioners of international insolvency studies who have less than nine years of experience. They must submit original analysis, commentary or legal research on the subject of international insolvency. Selection is based on the overall strength of the submission.

 

Richard B. Combs Hospitality Scholarship Grant

Applicants must be Connecticut residents. They must be a senior at a Connecticut high school (public or private), a high school graduate who has not yet begun a college curriculum or an enrolled undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited university or college. Selection is based on academic merit and proven interest in the hospitality industry.

 

ASWA Seattle Chapter Scholarship

Applicants must be part-time or full-time accounting students at an accredited postsecondary institution located in Washington state. Students must have finished at least 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) within four weeks of the application deadline. They must have an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher. The scholarship is open to both male and female students. Selection is based on GPA, stated career goals and financial need.

 

Nurse Corps Scholarship Program

Applicants must be U.S. citizens accepted by or enrolled in a nursing program at an accredited nursing school within the U.S. leading to an associate, baccalaureate or graduate nursing degree or diploma. Applicants must have no federal judgement liens and not be delinquent on a federal debt or have current service commitments. They must begin their nursing program no later than September 30. Selection is based on financial need, academic success, essay answers, resume and letters of recommendation. Preference is given to applicants enrolled full-time in undergraduate or master's nurse practitioner programs.

 

Society of Vacuum Coaters Foundation Scholarship

They must also be first-time as well as full-time attendees of a regionally accredited graduate school specializing in costume design and/or costume technology. Gordon Rankin Corrosion Engineering Scholarship

Applicants must have a permanent residence in the NACE Western Area which includes the following states: Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington. Applicants must take courses offered by an accredited college or university or programs approved by the area upon application.
