National Merit Awards

Applicant must be a National Merit Finalist or Semi-Finalist, and must have listed U of Southern Mississippi as his or her first-choice institution.

 

Wachovia Student Scholars Annual Program

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a South Carolina resident with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

Academy of Chefs Chair's Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: July 1

Applicant must have completed one grading period in a two-year culinary program. Selection is based upon academic excellence.

 

Academic Scholarship

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student in the top quarter of their high school class with a minimum composite ACT score of 25 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1090). Applicant must enroll as a full-time student at the university immediately following high school.

 

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Recipient must be a Phi Theta Kappa member with either an earned associates degree or a minimum of 60 completed credit hours and a 3.6 GPA.

 

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Scholarship

Two-in-Family Grant

Grant is automatically awarded to each student with another immediate family member currently enrolled full-time at Columbia College.

 

Resident Assist Grant

Alumni Association General Scholarship

West Virginia Engineering, Science, and Technology Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or resident alien who is enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an engineering, science, or technology program leading to a certificate or associate or bachelors degree at an eligible institution of higher education. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

NMIA Scholarship

Applicant must plan to continue his/her study toward architecture during the next academic year. Selection is based upon academic excellence, professional promise, financial eligibility and professional contribution to the college.

 

Producer's Council Scholarship

Applicant must be an environmental design undergraduate student in architecture who will be entering the first year of study toward the Master of Architecture in September following the award presentation. Applicant must be a Colorado resident.

 

Douglas Darden Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Colorado and have financial need and merit.

 

College of Business Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.4 GPA, must demonstrate excellence or potential for excellence in business; scholarship open to domestic and international students.

 

College of Business Sustaining Student Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, be an undergraduate business student with at least fifteen semester hours of College of Business course work completed, open to both domestic and international students.

 

Dean's Scholarship for Undergraduate Business Students

Coulter Foundation Scholarship in Entrepreneurial Studies and Business

Applicant can be either domestic or an international student, international student(s) must have a minimum 575 TOEFL score, breadth of vision in planning educational and career goals, and evidence of civic and social responsibility. Special consideration to student(s) enrolled in entrepreneurial courses.

 

U.S. West Information Systems Scholarship

Applicant must be an undergraduate with junior or senior class standing, including those transferring from the community college system. Applicant must have and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and be enrolled in a minimum of nine credit hours each semester.

 

Robert E. Moore Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.25 GPA (graduates); minimum 2.75 GPA for undergraduates. Selection is based upon financial need.

 

Colorado Scholars

Award: $1,500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a resident of Colorado, have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours at CU-Denver, with a minimum 3.5 GPA.

 

William Robert Simmons Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: September 30

Applicant must have a minimum 3.2 GPA, demonstrate an exuberant and inquisitive attitude toward learning. Applicant must qualify for Colorado in-state tuition, be enrolled for six or more credit hours per semester.

 

Stanley O. McNaughton Leadership Award

Applicant must be a junior or senior student at time of the award an an ICW institution. Selection based upon demonstrated commitment to community service, both in high school and college. Financial need is required.

 

Leadership, Excellence, Achievement & Diversity Program Scholarship

Applicant must be a first generation college student and a student of color. Participation in minority Arts and Sciences program, Multicultural Engineering program or McNeils Academic program required.

 

Joel Roger Wayne Scholarship

Applicant must be a Maryland resident, apply as a high school senior, have and maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA, enroll in an eligible program at a Maryland college or university, and have a combined annual family income of less than $95,000.
