Robert E. Weidler Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.

 

President's International Scholar Award

Award: $3,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student, maintain a residence outside of New York and international student status, maintain normal academic progress, live in a university residence hall, and maintain a 3.0 GPA. The Director of International Education will choose the award recipients based on their admissions application and transcript.

 

HSF/Ford Motor Company Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage and is a graduating high school senior with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Applicant must have plans to enroll as a full-time student in a degree-seeking program at a four-year accredited institution in the United States, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam. Preference will be given to students who have participated in the Ford PAS program. FAFSA is required. Program will begin as of fall 2009.

 

HSF/General Motors Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 15

Applicant must be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 who is of Hispanic heritage. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and plan to enroll or already be enrolled as a full-time student in a degree seeking program at a four-year accredited institution in the United States, Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands during the upcoming academic year. FAFSA and GM Online Assessment (semi-finalists only) are required. Program will begin as of fall 2009.

 

Advantage Professionals Scholarship

Applicant must be a senior accounting major at SUNY Geneseo.

 

Akron Advantage Blue Award

Applicant must be an out-of-state student. Minimum 3.0 GPA and minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1000 (composite ACT score of 21) required.

 

Akron Advantage Gold Award

Award: $9,000, Deadline: None

Applicant must be an out-of-state resident who is a first-time, full-time freshman or transfer student who meets two of the following criteria: minimum 3.5 GPA (3.25 transfer GPA); rank in top 10% of secondary school class; or minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1200 (composite ACT score of 27).

 

Louis M. Dexter Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and reside in West Michigan.

Applicant must demonstrate residency in a state other than Illinois and live on campus during the academic year; parents may not be residents of Illinois.

 

JSSA Educational Scholarship Fund

Award: $6,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a high school senior at a Montgomery County public high school who has been accepted into an accredited four-year undergraduate program, vocational school, or community college. Recipient is eligible for one to two years of funding. Awards may not be used for a student attending private, parochial, graduate, or post-graduate schools.

 

Betty Frato Scholarship

Clyde Helms Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate of San Luis Valley High School who is majoring in business with a finance emphasis. Minimum 3.0 GPA and combined SAT Reasoning score of 910 (composite ACT score of 19).

 

Dale C. Bailey Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be enrolled in a four-year program at the West Virginia University Institute of Technology. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

Applicant must be a resident of Clendenin/Herbert Hoover area. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

David Andrew Hood Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Cross Lanes or Nitro, WV who is a graduating senior of Nitro High School. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

 

O'Hair Scholarship

Pierson Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior of Capital High School who plans to major in teaching at a West Virginia college or university. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 21 required.

 

Riverside Math and Science Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduating senior of Riverside High School with plans to attend a college or university in West Virginia and pursing a degree in math or science. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

Shepherd Family Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Boone, Clay, Fayette, Jackson, Kanawha, Lincoln or Putnam County. Applicant must be attending the University of Charleston pursing a degree in nursing. Minimum 2.5 GPA and composite ACT score of 20 required.

 

Millie Snyder Scholarship

Dependent applicant's parent's income must be less than $36,000 or independent applicant's/spouse's adjusted gross income must be $36,000 or less. Applicant must submit a FAFSA application.
