Selection is based upon minimum 3.75 GPA, activities, minimum composite ACT score of 25 or SAT I equivalent, and leadership skills.

 

Amigo Scholarship

Award: $14,815, Deadline: February 1 (fall); October 1 (spring)

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 high school GPA with minimum composite ACT score of 23 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1070) or have a minimum 3.0 high school GPA with a minimum composite ACT score of 26 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1170). Applicant must not be from New Mexico.

 

New Mexico Scholars Scholarship

Applicant must be a New Mexico resident, have a minimum composite ACT score of 25 (combined SAT I score of 1020), rank in top 5% of class, and have a family adjusted gross income of $30,000 ($40,000 if two members are in college).

 

Marian Oldham Scholarship

Applicant must be an African-American student who is able to show promise, demonstrate leadership abilities, and has financial need.

 

Curator's Scholarship

Award: $7,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a Missouri resident who is an incoming full-time freshman student. Minimum composite ACT score of 28 (or SAT equivalent) and rank in top 5% of secondary school class required.

 

Chancellor's Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student who ranks in the top 5% of their high school class with a minimum composite ACT score of 26 (combined SAT Reasoning score of 1170). Applicant must enroll as a full-time student a the university immediately following high school.

 

Reference Service Press Fellowship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be accepted into an accredited Master of Library Science program, be a California resident attending school in any state or a resident of any state attending school in California, be preparing for a career in reference or information science, and agree to take at least three classes specifically dealing with reference or information science.

 

Alabama Student Grant

Award: $1,200, Deadline: September 15

Applicant must be an Alabama resident who is a half-time or full-time student attending an eligible independent Alabama college or university. Financial need is not considered.

 

Two-Year College Academic Scholarship

Applicant must be accepted for enrollment at a public, two-year, postsecondary educational institution in Alabama. Preference is given to Alabama residents. Selection is based upon academic merit. Financial need is not considered.

 

Junior and Community College Athletic Scholarship

Applicant must attend a public junior or community college in Alabama on a full-time basis. Selection is based upon demonstrated athletic ability determined through try-outs. Financial need is not considered.

Police Officers and Firefighters Survivors' Educational Assistance

Applicant must be the dependent or spouse of a police officer or firefighter who was killed or became totally and permanently disabled in the line of duty in Alabama, and be enrolled at a public postsecondary educational institution in Alabama.

Applicant must be a Kansas resident attending a Kansas school. Preference is given to applicants whose studies are directly related to foreign affairs. Fellowship is to encourage graduate students to experience the global perspective gained from study abroad.

 

America's Junior Miss

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, a high school senior, have never been married, and be a legal resident of the district or state she represents. Selection is based upon panel evaluation (30%), scholastic achievement (20%), creative and performing arts (20%), fitness (15%), and poise (15%).

 

Karen D. Carsel Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is legally blind, enrolled full-time, and is able to demonstrate financial need. Selection is based upon transcript, three recommendations, and personal statement.

 

George T. Welch Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate of a Walla Walla County, WA, high school and demonstrate financial need.

 

Alumni Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 2 (Priority)

Freshman applicant must graduate from a California high school with a minimum 3.85 GPA and a minimum combined SAT I score of 1200. Transfer applicant must have at least 84 transferable quarter units from a California community college and have a minimum 3.5 GPA.

 

University Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: March 2 (Priority)

Applicant must demonstrate financial need. Freshman applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA; continuing student applicant must have a minimum 3.3 GPA.

 

Endowed Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 2 (Priority)

Applicant with fewer than 20 units of university work must have a minimum 3.5 GPA; applicant with 20 or more units of work must have a minimum 3.3 GPA. Most scholarships are based on financial need and some have specific qualifications established by the donors.

 

Judith Resnik Memorial Scholarship

Texaco Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, a woman, a SWE member, and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be in an ABET-accredited engineering program, engineering at SWE-approved institution, or computer science in a CSAB-accredited program or at an ABET-accredited or SWE-approved institution.
