Applicant must be majoring in a welding engineering discipline and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference given to applicants residing or attending school in Iowa, Ohio, or California. Financial need required.

 

Senator James M. Jeffords Endowed Scholarship to Honor Marion Hausman Jeffords

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a graduating senior who will pursue a degree in the arts at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Dr. Charles A. Vernale Student Loan Award

Applicant must be a Connecticut resident with a predoctoral degree in dental medicine.

 

Memorial Education Fellowship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: March 1

Specified fields of study change each year. Applicant must be a woman maintaining a legal residence in Massachusetts for at least five years and must be sponsored by the president of the General Federation of Women's Clubs of Massachusetts club in her community of legal residence. Applicant must also submit letter of reference, personal letter, and transcript. Interview is required. SASE required.

 

1st Marine Division Association Scholarship

Award: $1,750, Deadline: None

Applicants must be dependents of honorably discharged veterans of the 1st Marine Division or units attached to or supporting the Division who are now deceased or totally and permanently disabled for any reason. Applicants must attend an accredited university as full-time undergraduate students.

 

Fellowship in Health Facilities Design

Award: $8,500, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen interested in the field of health-care architecture. Fellowship is available for any of the following options: graduate study at an accredited school of architecture associated with a school of hospital administration or near hospital resources; independent graduate-level study, research, or design in the health facilities field; or travel with in-residence research at hospitals in a predetermined area.

 

Frank B. Sessa Scholarship for Continuing Education

MGAA Scholarship

Maurice and Catherine Sessel Alton Student Grant

Applicant must be a graduate of an Alton school, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, be enrolled full-time, and be pursuing a degree program. Selection is based on financial need.

 

Upper-Division Honors Scholarship

Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and must have completed 45 credit hours.

 

ACRES Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 10

Applicant must be a certified teacher employed (or have been employed) by a rural school district, be working with students with disabilities or be "retooling" for work in special education, be pursuing a goal of increasing skills in special education, and be a U.S. citizen. Selection is based upon application, essay, and letters of reference.

 

Scholarship for Orphans of Veterans

Applicant must be the child of a New Hampshire resident who died as a result of service in WWI, WWII, or the Korean or Southeast Asian conflicts. Applicant must be under 26 years of age.

 

Timothy Bigelow Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be a resident of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont, with a minimum 2.25 GPA (3.0 for graduate students), who is enrolled full-time in an accredited program at a two or four-year institution. Must complete application online.

 

Ta Liang Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: November 15

Applicant must be an ASPRS member. Award is designed to provide travel funds for research-related projects.

 

Leo and Hilda Kolb Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Madison County, IL. Preference is given to Marine Township residents. Selection based on financial need.

 

Herman M. Holloway Sr. Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a Delaware resident with a minimum combined SAT score of 1350.

 

Fellowship in Aerospace History (NASA)

Award: $20,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must possess a doctorate degree in history or in a closely related field, or be enrolled as a student (having completed all coursework) in a doctoral degree-granting program.The fellowship term is for a period of at least six months, but not more than nine months, and should commence no later than November 15. Recipient will be expected to devote the term entirely to the proposed research project.

 

Allied Dental Health Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 10

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen with a minimum 2.8 GPA. Application forms, a copy of the school's letter of acceptance, two letters of recommendation, and a one page, typed, double-spaced biographical sketch required. Application forms must be original, typed, completed and signed, and be embossed with the school's official seal. Selection is based upon financial need, academic achievement, a biographical sketch, and letters of reference.

 

Small Cash Grant

Award: $100, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a certified, regular, associate, student member of ASCET, or a high school senior in the last five months of the academic year who have passing grades. Letters of recommendation required.

 

George M. Brooker Collegiate Scholarship for Minorities

Award: $2,500, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a member of a minority group and a U.S. citizen. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale within their major and must have completed two courses in real estate or indicate an intent to complete such courses. Recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA for the academic year for which the award applies or the scholarship may be revoked. Three letters of recommendation and essay (500 words maximum) required.

 

Doctoral Fellowship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: January 15

Applicant must be a member of Kappa Omicron Nu. Proof of degree and major, an academic record summary (no transcripts), a summary of professional goals, a summary of research problem, information about professional experience, honors and awards, memberships in affiliations, and his or her publications, as well as three letters of recommendation, statements from his or her academic advisor, and evidence of progress towards a degree. Applicant must submit five copies of his or her application and three recommendations are required to be submitted. Selection is based upon enrollment and progress in a doctoral program, demonstrated ability in graduate study, demonstrated interest and competence in research, and relevance of study and/or research to significant concerns related to home and family and the human sciences.

Past President's Parley Scholarship Assistance in Health Care Occupations

Award: $400, Deadline: May 15

Applicant must be enrolled in a health care occupations program, be a U.S. citizen, a resident of Arizona for at least one year, and attending an accredited Arizona school. Preference is given to an immediate family member of a veteran. Photograph, statement giving reasons for choosing a career in health care, three letters of reference, and transcripts are required to be submitted. Selection is based upon character, scholarship, financial need, and initiative.

 

Bernice Barnard Music Specialist Scholarship
