Theodore Mazza Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must reside in the corporate limits or in the adjoining suburbs of a city with an active chapter of UNICO National. Selection is based upon standardized test scores, extracurricular and community activities, and financial need. Award is per year for four years.

 

Albert M. Becker Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be the child of a member of the New York American Legion or Auxiliary, a member of American Legion Auxiliary Juniors, or a graduate of Boys State or Girls State. Applicant must be entering or attending an accredited four-year college.

 

Sad Sack Nursing Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must have been accepted into an approved nursing program in Illinois. Selection is based upon satisfactory academic record, character, extracurricular activities, and financial need.

 

Gravure Education Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 15

Selection is based upon academic merit and financial need.

 

E.J. Sierleja Memorial Fellowship

Award: $600, Deadline: November 15

Applicant must have a minimum 3.4 GPA, be an active IIE member, and be enrolled full-time. Preference given to applicant focusing on rail transportation.

 

Youth Activity Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: October 10

Applicant must be a student conducting individual scientific or exploration research projects through their respective school with a supervising instructor. Explanation of proposed research project, career objectives, proof of student enrollment with dates, and letter of recommendation from supervisor required to be submitted. Recipient must submit a project report within the deadline of the completion of his/her field experience.

 

Ohio Safety Officers College Memorial Fund

Applicant must be an Ohio resident attending a participating Ohio school, who is the child or spouse of a peace officer or firefighter killed in the line of duty during Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, or a combat zone designated by the President of the United States.

 

DaimlerChrysler Corporation Fund Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a woman, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be in an ABET-accredited engineering program, engineering at SWE-approved colleges and universities, or computer science in a CSAB-accredited program or at an ABET-accredited or SWE-approved institution.

 

GTE Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a woman with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be in an ABET-accredited engineering program, engineering at SWE-approved institution, or computer science in a CSAB-accredited program or at an ABET-accredited or SWE-approved institution.

 

Americanism & Government Contest

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 21

Applicant must be a high school student in Indiana. Applicant must take the Americanism & Government Test and also submit a 300-word essay.

 

Scholarship for Academic Excellence

Award: $1,500, Deadline: June 30

Selection is based upon academic excellence measured by the weighted average of students scores on Regents exams taken prior to senior year. Subject areas are: comprehensive English, global studies, U.S. history/government, level three math, and science.

 

Nebraska Press Association Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,250, Deadline: February 28

Applicants must have graduated from a Nebraska high school. Applicant must enroll (or have already enrolled) in a Nebraska college/university that will qualify a graduating student for at least an entry-level position in print journalism. Preference is given to applicants with an interest in news, editorial, photography, circulation, production, or advertising careers for a weekly, semi-weekly, or daily newspaper. Selection is based upon scholastic ability, financial ability, and good citizenship in school and community. Applicant must submit a statement regarding career plans in the field of print journalism.

 

CSA Fraternal Life Scholarship

Applicant must be a member of CSA for at least two years, with minimum $5,000 face value whole life insurance.

 

Joseph P. Gavenonis Scholarship

Applicant must attend a secondary school in Pennsylvania and be the child of a Pennsylvania American Legion Member who is in good standing, is deceased, or has been killed or is missing in action.

 

Church Training and Deaconess House Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a woman seeking to be ordained to the ministry or for a post-baccalaureate degree program which would further he lay ministry. Preference is given to residents of the Diocese of Pennsylvania.

 

Merck Research Scholar Program for Professional Degree Pharmacy Students

Dean's Scholarship

Applicant must be an incoming first-year student. Minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1100 (minimum composite ACT score of 24) and minimum 3.0 GPA required or minimum 3.25 GPA required of students who apply as test optional.

 

Worship and Performing Arts Scholarship

Presidential Leadership Scholarship

Applicant must demonstrate outstanding leadership ability in academic, community, or religious activities. Good academic standing and positive recommendations are required.

 

Mountaineer Scholarship

Applicant must be an incoming freshman who is a West Virginia resident.

 

University Merit - Resident Scholarship

Award: $5,500, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a West Virginia resident who has been named as a finalist by the National Merit Corporation and who designates West Virginia University as their school of first choice by the National Merit Corporation's deadline date.

 

General Academic Scholarship

Award: $8,700, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be an entering freshman or continuing/transfer student. Entering freshmen applicants must rank in the top quarter of their secondary school class with a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 1100 (composite ACT score of 24). Continuing/transfer applicants must be active in a university program with a minimum 3.25 GPA.

 

Alumni Scholarship

Applicant must have a parent who has graduated from Seton Hill.

 

Honors Scholarship

Applicant must be an incoming freshman student who has been accepted into the Honors Program.

 

Sibling Grant

Applicant must have a sibling concurrently enrolled at Seton Hill. An additional award of up to $2,500 will be awarded per family for each additional full-time undergraduate student attending concurrently.

 

Elizabeth Seton Scholarship
