DPMA/pc Annual Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from Oregon or Washington state who is attending an Oregon or Washington state university or college with a major in an information technology-related curriculum. Selection based upon academic performance, information technology-related career goals, recommendations, previous experience/interest in information technology, and financial need.

 

AOSA Research Grant

Award: $800, Deadline: January 1

Applicant must be a AOSA member, and have research experience for the past five years.

 

Ruth Ingersoll Goldmark Fellowship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: Early January

Applicant must be a woman and a graduate of Wellesley Coll who plans further study. Preference is given to those who have not previously held the award. Selection is based upon merit and need.

 

Mary McEwen Schimke Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: Early January

Applicant must be a graduate of any American institution, female, age 30 or over, and currently engaged in graduate study in literature and/or history. Preference is given to those in American studies.

 

William E. Jackson Award

Award: $2,000, Deadline: September 30

Applicant must submit two copies each of a thesis or technical paper, a one-to two-page summary of the paper, a biographical sketch, and a recommendation from the applicant's instructor, professor, or department head. Selection is based upon thesis, project report, or technical journal paper.

 

Delaware Nursing Incentive Scholarship Loan

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 3

Applicant must be a Delaware resident enrolled in a R.N., L.P.N. or A.P.N. program at a Delaware college or university.

 

J. Franklin Jameson Fellowship in American History

Award: $5,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have received the degree within the past seven years, not having published or have accepted for publication a book-length historical work. Applicant's project must be in American history and be one for which the general and special collections of the Library of Congress offer unique research support; statement substantiating this relationship is required. Fellowship will be awarded for at least two, but no more than three months, to spend in full-time residence at the Library of Congress; working space provided by the Library of Congress. Fellowship will not be awarded to complete a doctoral dissertation.

 

A.E. Bennett Research Award

Award: $1,500, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be under age 35 by January 1 of the application year and actively engaged in research in the biological psychiatry field. A nonpublished manuscript describing the research must be submitted along with a brief biological sketch. Special consideration is given to originality and independence of thought. Awards are given for the two best research papers. One is awarded in basic and one in clinical science.

 

SNAME Graduate Scholarship

Award: $12,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen or foreign student studying in either country and have society member for at least one year prior to application. Award is offered for one year of study leading to a master's degree. Test scores, transcript, and three letters of recommendation are required.

 

Huebner Foundation Fellowship in Insurance, Economics, and Risk Management

Applicant must have high GRE or GMAT scores, outstanding grades, and a commitment to college teaching.

 

Parker M. and Virginia Howell Scholarship

Terry Albee Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont residing in one of the following towns: Charleston, Coventry, Derby, Holland, Jay, Lowell, Morgan, Newport City, Newport Town, Troy, or Westfield. Applicant must pursue a degree in communications or the performing arts at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Essay, recommendation letter and financial need required.

 

Max Barrows Graduate Scholarship in Educational Administration

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 9

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will pursue a graduate degree in education administration at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding and will work in Vermont to improve the quality of education. Financial need and academic achievement must be demonstrated.

 

David A. Hicks Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a graduate of Mount Anthony Union or West Rutland High School who will pursue a bachelor's degree at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Senator James M. Jeffords Endowed Scholarship to Honor Mary Jefford Mills

Applicant must be a resident of Rutland County, VT or a student at a Rutland County high school who will pursue a degree in education at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Charles E. Leonard Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who is blind or visually impaired, or the child of someone who is blind or visually impaired, or pursuing a career in the education or rehabilitation of blind or visually impaired people. Applicant must attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Vermont State Grange Educational Aid Fund

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont attending an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Vermont Dental Hygiene Scholarship

Applicant must be a resident of Vermont who will enroll in a dental hygiene program at an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement and financial need must be demonstrated.

 

Safe Water Scholarships

Award: $1,000, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be enrolled in a secondary education program related to the water industry, including community college, technical school, four-year undergraduate programs, and masters and doctoral programs. Applicants must be either an Illinois resident or enrolled in an Illinois secondary education program. This includes, but is not limited to such fields of study as water utility operations and management, civil or environmental engineering, environmental science and policy, chemistry, biology, or water resource management. Selection based on merit/academic performance, leadership/extracurricular activities, recommendation letters, personal statement outlining qualifications for the award, and essay on how applicant envisions contributing to the water industry in the future. Applicants with prior experience in the water industry are preferred.

 

Texas Transportation Scholarship

Applicant must have been enrolled in a school in Texas during some phase of education (elementary, secondary, or high school). Selection is based upon scholastic ability, potential, professional interest, character, and financial need.
