Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and be a graduate of a Montana high school. Applicant must submit an essay and one letter of recommendation.

 

Capt. Caliendo College Assistance Fund Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be the dependent, unmarried child of a member or deceased member of the U.S. Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer's Association or U.S. Coast Guard Enlisted Association. Applicant must be under 24 years of age and submit an essay (500-word maximum).

 

Osage Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be a Catholic and a registered member of the Osage Indian Tribe listed on the rolls in Pawhuska and have a 2.5 GPA for undergraduate or 3.0 GPA for graduate studies. Copy of CDIB or Osage Tribal membership card required.

 

Richard M. Weaver Fellowship

Award: $15,000, Deadline: January 17

Applicant must be a member of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute who receives The Intercollegiate Review. Applicant must engage in graduate studies for the purpose of teaching at the college level. Those attending pre-professional (medical, law, divinity, business, etc.) schools are ineligible. Award is maintained exclusively for those who will teach, for that profession presents the greatest opportunity to deal with the first concerns of civilization, and thus with its ultimate preservation. Essay on the theme of education and a free society is required.

 

Sons of the American Revolution Eagle Scout Scholarship

Award: $8,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a member of the Boy Scouts, and under the age of 19 in the year of application. Application, patriotic theme, and four generation ancestor chart are required to be submitted. All inquiries and applications must be submitted to local SAR chapters or to your state Chairman.

Applicant must be a West Virginia resident enrolled full time at an accredited college or university, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and demonstrate good moral character.

 

Myra Levick Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: June 15

Applicant must be an active student member of AATA, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need, be enrolled or accepted in an AATA-approved program, and submit transcripts, letters of recommendation, essay, and financial information.

 

Development Fund for Black Students in Science and Technology Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: June 30

Applicant must be a black U.S. citizen or permanent resident and plan to stay in the U.S. after graduation. Selection is based upon academic achievement, essay, recommendations, and financial need.

 

Applegate/Jackson/Parks Future Teacher Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 31

Applicant must be attending an institution of higher learning in the United States. Official transcript of grades from an accredited institution of higher learning in the United States and a 500-word essay on compulsory unionism in education, are required to be submitted. Essays written on subjects unrelated to compulsory unionism in education will not be considered.

 

William B. Ruggles Journalism Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: December 31

Applicants limited to journalism or related majors who are enrolled in accredited institutions of higher learning throughout the United States. Official transcript demonstrating potential for successful completion of the educational requirements in an accredited journalism program and 500-word essay demonstrating an understanding of the principles of voluntary unionism and the economic and social problems of compulsory unionism are required.

 

Kansas Optometry Service Scholarship

Applicant must be a Kansas resident enrolled in a nationally accredited school of optometry.

 

Huntington Library/WHA Martin Ridge Fellowship for Study in Western History

Award: $2,000, Deadline: July 15

Award is one month's study at the Huntington Library. A two to three page description of research specifying materials to be used indicating progress status on the project and three copies of project's curriculum vitae required.

Awarded as research fellowships in art, craft, and visual culture of the United States. Fellowships are residential and support independent and dissertation research.

 

The SAPA Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must be a high school senior who is planning to attend a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited four-year college/university with a major related to life sciences. Applicant must have a minimum 3.3 GPA, a minimum combined SAT Reasoning score of 2000, and be in the top tenth (or top quarter) of their class. Essay, two letters of recommendation, list of all awards received, list of Advanced Placement or Honors courses with grades, and transcripts are required to be submitted.

 

STEM Major Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a United States citizen enrolled at an accredited four-year institution who is enrolled in a degree-granting, graduate-level STEM major (science, technology, engineering, and math) program.

 

VSAC Board of Directors Scholarship (Jon F. Ratti)

Applicant must be a graduate of Bellows Falls Union, Green Mountain Union, or Springfield High School who will attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding. Academic achievement, financial need and school/community involvement must be demonstrated.

 

Essay Competition

Applicant must be a high school or undergraduate or graduate student. Essay on the following topic is required: Choose any scenario or event in the world that you find most interesting, most challenging, or that you believes requires considerable attention from leaders. Essays may be submitted in any of these languages: English, French, and Chinese.

 

Social Media Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen who is a student between the ages of 16 and 25. Minimum 2.5 GPA, 50 question social media exam, and short essay required.

 

Lemberg Law Lemon Justice Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: November 30

Applicant must be a high school senior who plans to enroll as a full-time student at a two- or four-year college or university in the United States, or a current, full-time undergraduate student. Applicant must be passionate about consumer rights and send an insightful, original creative work about the impact of "lemons" - defective products that are protected by consumer laws - and/or lemon laws have on consumers.

 

TAPPI Technical Division Scholarship
