Applicant must be an Illinois high school senior who has been accepted into a pre-approved nursing program or may already be a student in an approved School of Nursing in the State of Illinois. Applicant must be able to prove satisfactory in their academic record, character, interest and activity record, and financial need. Priority will be given to the dependent of a deceased or disabled veteran.

Applicant must be enrolled or accepted in a Bachelor of Science nursing program (specific to the B.S.N. scholarship). Purpose of program is to increase the number of registered nurses (RN) practicing in medically underserved areas of California. Award is to pay tuition, necessary fees, books, supplies, and educational equipment costs for nursing; debt that was incurred while attending a baccalaureate degree nursing program. Recipient must be willing to practice in California as a RN providing full-time (32 hours per week) direct patient care.

Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident who is under the age of 24 and has confirmed admission into a professional degree program. Applicant must be majoring in one of the following areas of study: agriculture, dentistry, economics, engineering, food technology, forestry/fishery, media, medical technology, medicine, nursing, nutrition, pharmacy, political science, social science, or veterinary medicine. High academic achievement and financial need are required. Recipient must not be in receipt of any other loan.

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of Arizona for at least one year, and attending an accredited school in Arizona. Preference is given to an immediate family member of a veteran. Photograph, personal statement, three letters of reference, and transcripts of nursing grades are required to be submitted. Applicant must be a woman maintaining a legal residence in Massachusetts for at least five years and must be sponsored by the president of the General Federation of Women's Clubs of Massachusetts club in her community of legal residence.
