Dr. Hugh and Madge Gleaton Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a graduating senior of a Henderson County public school who is planning to attend a four-year accredited university within the University of North Carolina System. A successful applicant is a student who ranks in the top 15% of their secondary school class and has financial need. Preference will be given to a student who is pursuing a degree in the arts, education, engineering, the sciences, or medicine.

 

Future Physicians Scholarship Program

The Edith M. Allen Scholarship

Applicant must be an African-American college student pursuing a degree in education, social work, medicine, or other health professions. Must be enrolled at a United Methodist college/university with at least B+ average and be an active member of the United Methodist Church for at least three years.

Kimberly L. Cates Memorial Scholarship

Hispanocare Student Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen of latino descent who resides in Illinois and is pursuing a degree in the healthcare field. Minimum 3.0 GPA, minimum composite ACT score of 21, essay, copy of transcript, resume, three letters of recommendation, copy of most recent tax return, and proof of citizenship required.

 

USA to Australia Fellowship

Applicant must be a graduate student or above who will be attending an Australian educational institution majoring in engineering, medicine, sustainability, or technology. Three essays, three letters of reference, a proposed budget, transcripts, and letter of acceptance to an Australian University required. Must be a U.S. citizen and full-time student.

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and fourth year undergraduate student with a disability who has been accepted into a graduate school pursuing a degree in one of the following fields: mathematics, science, medicine, engineering, or computer science. Alejandro Miguel Solis Scholarship

Medical Student Scholarship

Selection based on service to the LGBTQ community, leadership skills, hardship or special circumstances, and academic achievement.

Applicants must be enrolled or accepted into allopathic or osteopathic medical schools, family nurse practitioner programs, nurse-midwifery programs, physician assistant programs or dental school. Upon completion of training, scholars must choose practice sites in federally designated health professional shortage areas for one year for each year of support received.

They must be undergraduate or graduate students who are majoring in pre-medicine or engineering at a Virginia postsecondary institution. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a four-point scale. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Selection is based on academic achievement and financial need.

 

John D. and Virginia Riesch Scholarship

Applicants must be U.S. citizens. They must be full-time students enrolled in a medical school or nursing degree program at an accredited Wisconsin college or university. Rising undergraduate freshmen, undergraduate medical students and nursing students enrolled in a less than two-year program are ineligible. Preference will be given to Wisconsin residents and to applicants who are planning to practice in Wisconsin. Selection is based on academic merit, personal qualities, recommendations and financial need.

They must be third- or fourth-year medical students who are in need of immediate, emergency funding for living expenses and/or tuition. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

AvaCare Mdical Scholarship

Applicants must be at least 13 years of age, have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be a U.S. citizen. Students must be studying or planning on studying a medicine related field. Students must be at least a high school senior. AvaCare Medical offers an annual scholarship for an inspiring act of kindness. Selection is based on judge scores as well as public votes. Submission may be in the form of a blog post, an image or a short video clip. Finalists are selected based on content, creativity and quality of work.

 

Vazquez Pride in Health Scholarship
