Advertising Federation of Fort Wayne Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: March

Applicant must reside in an area served by the Advertising Federation of Fort Wayne.

 

Art Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 16

Applicant must be a freshman student who is new to the university and is majoring in graphic and web design, illustration, photography, or digital media arts. Application and portfolio are required. Scholarship is awarded on the basis of talent.

 

Billings Broadcasters Media Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be enrolled full time, demonstrate financial need, and major in an area related to the broadcast industry.

 

Graphic Design Internship

Award: -, Deadline: November 1

Applicant must have proficiency in QuarkXpress and Adobe Creative Suite using a Macintosh platform, knowledge of scanning and image correction techniques, and photoshop. Cover letter, resume, three design samples, and two letters of reference are required to be submitted. Internship is for 12 weeks in the spring.

 

Scholarship for Recent High School Graduates

Award: $2,000, Deadline: June 15

Applicant must have completed high school in the past five years and have applied to Sessions College by the early action deadline. Scholarship seeks to promote the benefits of learning design online.

 

American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) Honolulu Chapter Scholarship Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be majoring in graphic design, visual communication, or commercial arts.

 

Eighth Annual Scholarship Competition

Award: $15,000, Deadline: January 31

Applicant must be a high school senior who plans to pursue a bachelor's degree in graphic design, computer animation, or web design/development. Three to five landscape, still life, or life drawings must be submitted. One full undergraduate scholarship will be awarded; partial scholarships ($15,000 and $20,000 respectively) will also be awarded.

 

HB Design Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be enrolling as a college junior or above majoring in graphic design and/or interactive/web design. FAFSA and minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

Kerdragon Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduate of an Oregon high school who has not yet attended college and will major in fine arts, graphic arts, or photography at least half time. FAFSA required.

 

Art Scholarship

Applicant must be a new entering student (fall term entry only) who is able to demonstrate an ability in art. Portfolio CD required.

 

David and Barbara Kruse Paw Paw High School Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or graduate of Paw Paw High School who is enrolled or planning to enroll in a technical school trade school or community college in a course of study that will lead to a career in the field of technology (e.g. auto technician, graphic design, information or manufacturing technology). Minimum 2.0 GPA, extracurricular or community volunteer activities, and work experience are required.

 

Peanuts on Parade Scholarship Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 5

Applicant must be a current or former resident of Sonoma County who plans to or is currently majoring in cartooning and/or animation (graphic design may also qualify if branching out to cartooning). Preference will be given to students with some professional experience.

 

Art Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: August 1

Applicant must be an incoming freshman who will be majoring in commercial art or graphic design.

 

Design Grant

Award: $4,000, Deadline: December 16

To apply for one of the two student scholarship grants, applicant must be currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in an art or design program. To apply for the one open grant, anyone may apply, with the exclusion of those applying for student grant (alumni and other majors are welcome).

 

Gina Auditore Boner Memorial Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: February 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Palm Beach or Martin County, FL high school who will major in advertising, graphic design, journalism or marketing. Financial need must be demonstrated.

 

United Mark Smith Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: May 31

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is a full-time student majoring in marketing, graphic design, or related major at an accredited university or college in the United States. Minimum 3.0 GPA and infographic that shows how marketing has changed from your parent's generation to yours are required.

 

Creative Design Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: June 1

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is a graduating high school senior of a full-time college freshman, sophomore, or junior. Applicant must be a future graphic designer who creates a creative concept developed around Sunoco's high quality fuels for their retail POP.

 

Modern Abstract Decor Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a graduating senior or current college student pursuing a degree in an arts program in the United States. Business plan between 500-1000 words required.

 

Creative Arts/Design Scholarship

Award: $3,000, Deadline: June 16

Applicant must be an undergraduate, graduate, master's, or doctoral student pursuing a degree in graphic design with a relationship to outdoor advertising. Work sample/portfolio required. Financial need, extracurricular activity, and academic performance must be demonstrated.

 

Vectorworks Design Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: July 30

Applicant must be pursuing a design-oriented degree full-time at an accredited college/university. Must create own design with software of choice.

 

Skylights For Less $500 Annual Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: July 31

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who plans to enroll in an undergraduate program at an accredited college/university in the U.S with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Required to capture before and after effects of a skylight installation in a building, describe completed work in under 400 words, and write statement of college goals.

 

Influence Print Award for Design Excellence

Award: $1,000, Deadline: December 31

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident who is a current student that has taken either the ACT or SAT test. Minimum 2.5 GPA and original digitally created design required.

 

Artistic Excellence in Print Design & Marketing Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: November 30

Applicant must be a current undergraduate or graduate majoring in graphic arts/design or a related field at an accredited college or university in the United States. Minimum 3.0 GPA and submission of a personal marketing package promoting the applicant are required.

 

Undergraduate Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 27

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is member of one of the following ethnic groups: African American/Black, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, or Native American/Alaska Native. Must be a full-time undergraduate student majoring in public relations, marketing, advertising, anthropology, communications, English, graphic design, or sociology. Minimum 2.75 GPA, reference letter, resume, and unofficial transcript OR acceptance letter required.

 

Graduate Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 27

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is member of one of the following ethnic groups: African American/Black, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, or Native American/Alaska Native. Must be a full-time graduate student who has a minimum of two academic semesters or one year left to complete master's degree majoring in public relations, marketing, advertising, anthropology, communications, English, graphic design, or sociology. Minimum 3.2 GPA, reference letter, resume, and unofficial transcript required.

 

Electronic Document Systems Foundation Scholarship Awards

Award: $5,000, Deadline: May 2

Applicants must be full-time students interested in a career in the preparation, production or distribution of documents. Possible areas of study include marketing, graphic arts, e-commerce, imaging science, printing, web authoring, electronic publishing, computer science, telecommunications or business. For most scholarships, applicants must be junior, senior or graduate students; however opportunities exist for students at all levels, including those attending two-year colleges. Specific scholarships are available for U.S. and Canadian citizens. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required.

 

TLMI Two-Year College or Technical Degree Program Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a flexographic printing program at a two-year college or degree-granting technical school. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and have a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in the tag and label industry. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

 

TLMI Four Year College Degree Scholarship Program

Award: $5,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicants must demonstrate an interest in the tag and label manufacturing industry while taking appropriate courses at an accredited four-year college. They must be full-time sophomores or juniors with a GPA of at least 3.0. Applicants must submit a personal statement and three letters of recommendation attesting to their character.

 

Worldstudio AIGA Scholarships

Award: $6,000, Deadline: April 22

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students in fine arts, graphic design, illustration, interactive design/motion graphics or photography. They must have a GPA of at least 2.0 and demonstrate financial need. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Minority and economically disadvantaged students will be given special consideration.

 

MVP Visuals Design Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: January 1

Applicants must be planning to attend or be current undergraduate students at a U.S. university and must major in graphic arts and design or applied arts. Students must create a digital visual design based on the University they are or will be attending.
