TOPSS Competition for High School Psychology Students

Award: $250, Deadline: March 15

Applicants must be high school students who have been or are presently enrolled in a psychology course and must write an essay answering a question from the APA. A Teachers of Psychology in Secondary Schools (TOPSS) member must sponsor all candidates, and each school may submit no more than five papers.

 

APF/COGDOP Graduate Research Scholarships

Award: $5,000, Deadline: June 30

Applicants must attend a school whose psychology department is a member in good standing of Council of Graduate Departments of Psychology (COGDOP). Applicants are nominated by their schools' departments with no more than three nominees at each school.

 

Benton-Meier Scholarships

Award: $2,500, Deadline: June 1

Applicants must demonstrate need and demonstrate potential for a promising career in the field of neuropsychology. Applicants should also submit a letter that documents their scholarly and research accomplishments, financial need and how the award will be used.

 

Predoctoral Research Training Fellowship

Award: $20,000, Deadline: May 5

Applicants must be full-time graduate students pursuing a Ph.D. degree in neuroscience, physiology, pharmacology, psychology, biochemistry, genetics, nursing, pharmacy or other related areas; have a dissertation research project; have a qualified mentor who can supervise the project and have access to resources to conduct the project. The project must be in the U.S. and its territories. The award is based on the quality of the dissertation project, relevance to epilepsy, the applicant's qualifications, the mentor's qualifications and the quality of the proposed environment.

 

Graduate Research Fellowship Program

Award: $44,000, Deadline: November 4

Applicants must be full-time students who have completed no more than 12 months of graduate study and be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals or permanent residents. The fields of study are interdisciplinary, computer and information science and engineering, mathematical sciences, geosciences, psychology, social sciences, life sciences, chemistry, physics and astronomy and engineering.
