International Masters/Professional Fellowship

Award: $18,000, Deadline: December 1

Applicant must be a women who is not a United States citizen or permanent resident. Award is for full-time study or research in the United States.

 

Chrysalis Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must have contributed and will continue to contribute to both the geosciences and the larger world community through her academic and personal strengths.

 

William Rucker Greenwood Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 30

Applicant must be a minority woman who is enrolled as full-time, graduate or undergraduate geoscience major in an accredited, degree-granting college or university in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, or West Virginia. Applicant must demonstrate awareness of the importance of community outreach by participation in geoscience or earth-science education activities that reflect AWG's goals and a potential for leadership as a future geoscience professional.

 

Penelope Hanshaw Scholarship

Applicant must be currently enrolled as full-time, graduate or undergraduate geoscience major in an accredited, degree-granting college or university in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, or West Virginia. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

North Carolina Restaurant Association Hospitality Scholarship

Applicant must either be a high school senior, community college student, university student or graduate student pursuing hospitality and tourism. Up to 10 High School Students' Scholarships, up to five Two-Year Program Scholarships, up to five Four-Year Program Scholarships, and up to four Graduate Student Scholarships will be awarded.

Preference is given to an applicant whose higher education was received primarily by universities in the United States and who has not lived in the country to where he or she is applying for more than six months.
