Judicial Internship Program

Award: -, Deadline: June 10 (fall); October 20 (spring); March 10 (summer)

Intern should possess: demonstrated high intellectual achievement; ability and willingness to work closely with others in a complex and sensitive organization; flexibility; self-sustaining motivation and initiative; and impeccable trustworthiness, discretion, and maturity. Good judgment is critical. To be eligible for selection, applicant must apply during, or for a term immediately following undergraduate study. The application consists of a cover letter, resume, college transcript, a short essay about a former Justice of the Supreme Court, and three letters of recommendation including at least one from an undergraduate course instructor. The internship is for eight hours per day, five days per week in the Office of the Counselor to the Chief Justice.

New England Regional Student Program

Applicant must be a resident of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont who is enrolled or plans to enroll in a major program at a New England public college or university that is not offered by a public university in applicant's home state.

 

Al Qoyawayma Award

Applicant must be a recent high school graduate or undergraduate or graduate student who is accepted to or already attending either an undergraduate or graduate program majoring in science or engineering. Financial need and proof of tribal enrollment required.

 

Mary P. Oenslager Scholastic Achievement Award (SAA)

Award: $6,000, Deadline: March 1

Applicant must be legally blind and be registered with Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic for at least one year prior to application. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and a have a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Leadership, enterprise, and service skills are required to be demonstrated.

 

Barnett Scholars Program Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: March 1

Undergraduate applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrate academic promise, be enrolled full time, and be pursuing a B.A. or B.S. degree. Graduate applicants must have a B.A. or B.S. from an accredited school, be accepted into a graduate degree program, and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.

 

OSA/MRS Congressional Fellowship

Award: $72,000, Deadline: January 6

Applicant must be a scientist or engineer intending to work on a Congressional committee or in the office of a member of Congress. Applicant must have a Ph.D. by the start of the program.

 

Robert E. Hindman and Loraine Spencer Hindman Scholarship

Ruth Taylor Scholarship

Applicant must be a legal resident of the United States and Westchester County who is enrolled in graduate studies in social work or public health as a full-time student.
