Nora Richardson Dodd Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Perryton High School who exhibits community service and leadership, and will major in business at a college/university in the state of Texas. Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA required.

 

Ranger Academic Enrichment Foundation Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from Perryton High School who will attend an accredited college or university as a full-time student. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

 

Novotny/Osborne Scholarship

Award: $16,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Dumas High School who is from a middle or lower class family income, and will accept no other scholarships that are related to athletics. Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA required while in college.

 

Sammye Lee Seabourn Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund

Award: $750, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from West Texas High School who will attend Amarillo College, Frank Phillips College, West Texas A&M University, or Texas Tech University. Preference given to applicants who plan to major in the field of education. Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA required.

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Canadian High School who exhibits financial need and will major in a trade or technology field in a one- or two- year program.

 

Amarillo Hardware Company Scholarship in honor of Mr. R. C. Neely, Jr. and Mr. E. J. Vogt, Jr.

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be the child of an Amarillo Hardware Company employee. Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA required while in college.

 

Gary Biggers/Rehm Family Passion for Learning Scholarship

Award: $2,500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from Amarillo High School in the top 15% of their class. Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA required. Essay also required.

 

Patricia J. Fairchild Memorial Scholarship

Award: $250, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from Amarillo High School who attended Puckett Elementary School for a minimum of three years. Preference given to those who pursue a Liberal Arts Degree. Minimum 3.5 GPA required.

 

Firefighter Brian Hunton Memorial Scholarship Fund

Award: $500, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior who is a child of firefighters who are members of the fire departments of the City of Amarillo, Potter County, or Randall County, and exhibit community service, leadership, and financial need. Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA required while in college.

 

The Lamar P.T.A. Gaylia Cochran Scholarship Fund

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from the Amarillo Independent School District who attended Lamar Elementary School for a minimum of three years, and has taken the ACT and/or SAT prior to application. Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA required while in college.

 

Panhandle Groundwater Conservation District Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior from the Panhandle Groundwater Conservation District (Armstrong, Carson, Donley, Gray, Potter, Roberts, and Wheeler Counties). Essay and minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA required.

 

Janet Sue Scivally Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a graduating female senior from Tascosa High School who is currently working, and will continue to work while attending a college in the state of Texas. Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA required while in college. Selection based on financial need, record of scholarship, accomplishments, and occupational experience.

 

Dr. Burwell Southern Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Amarillo High School who exhibits community service and leadership, and will attend Amarillo College or West Texas A&M University. Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA required while in college.

 

3 Point Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a New York/Tri-State or Tulsa area graduating high school student who plans to enroll full-time at a two- or four-year accredited institution during the upcoming academic year. Minimum 3.0 GPA, financial need, and demonstration of commitment to community service required.

 

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship

Award: $40,000, Deadline: Late November

Applicant must plan to graduate from a United States high school in the spring and intend to enroll as a full-time student in an accredited four-year college beginning next fall. The following are required: minimum 3.5 unweighted GPA; standardized test scores in the top 15%: SAT combined critical reading and math score of 1200 (must test by October 11) or ACT composite score of 26 (must test by September 13); and financial need.

 

Engineering Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: October 5

Applicant must submit an essay of no more than 1,000 words in answer to the following question: "What are your dreams for your future? When you look back on your life in thirty years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful?" Applicant must be a motivated student looking to further their education. Major or courses in engineering are not required.

 

Andi Parhamovich Scholarships

Award: $3,000, Deadline: May 15

Applicant must be a high school student at Perry High School ($1,000 award) or a college student at Marietta College ($3,000 award).

 

Bainbridge Civic Club Scholarship

Award: $1,200, Deadline: April 15

Applicant must be a resident of Bainbridge Township, but does not need to attend Kenston High School.

 

Bainbridge Women's Club Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: in March

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior who lives in Bainbridge or Auburn Townships.

 

BioOhio Scholarship

Award: $1,250, Deadline: March 12

Applicant must be a high school senior (or senior equivalent) who lives in Ohio and plans to pursue bioscience-related studies in college.

 

Communications Factory Annual Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a Northeast Ohio high school senior in good standing. Two letters of reference (from non-family members), valid proof of intent to attend college, demonstration of community involvement, and a two-page essay offering a solution to one of applicant's community's environmental challenges are required.

 

Dwight D. Eisenhower/Ann Cook Whitman Scholarship

Award: $4,000, Deadline: April 10

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Perry High School who has a minimum grade average of "B" and plans to receive an undergraduate education.

 

Ed Goodwin Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: April 1

Applicant must be a graduating senior from Perry High School who is enrolled full-time in a two- or four-year college or university for the upcoming fall semester.

 

Fields of Learning Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be an Ohio high school student (not limited to football players, band members, cheerleaders, etc.). Essay describing personal learning experiences which involved high school football is required.

 

Alan R. Daus Memorial Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: May 1

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior who has participated in a Junior Achievement program during their high school experience. Selection based upon unweighted GPA, extra curricular involvement and activities, individual recommendations (teacher, principal, and volunteer), and thoughtful response to the essay questions.

 

Lila M. Van Sweringen Student Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: February 15

Applicant must be an Ohio student who will be attending a post-secondary institution starting the fall of the next academic year. Applicant must have an interest in pursuing an office-related career.

 

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: January 7

Applicant must demonstrate leadership, be nominated by an eligible community leader if selected as a semifinalist, be recommended by an authority figure, demonstrate financial need, and be a citizen of the United States of America.

 

The Reagan Presidential Foundation Scholars Program

Award: -, Deadline: February 17

Applicant must attend Ventura County, California high schools, demonstrate leadership skills, and strong personal character.

 

Our Future Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: February 9

Applicant must attend a four year institution, and be the child of an active duty service member stationed at Fort Meade, Fort Bragg, Fort Polk, Fort Rucker, Fort Riley, Fort Sill, or Aberdeen Proving Ground.

 

The Herbert Lehman Education Fund Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a senior in high school, a high school graduate, or freshman currently enrolled in a college or university.
