Guy Marshall Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a graduate from a high school in Hawaii entering a college in the continental U.S. as a freshman.

 

Hawaii Pacific Gerontological Society Nursing Scholarship Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be accepted into a nursing program at a two- or four-year college or university in Hawaii, or pursue an R.N. or L.P.N. degree with an interest in geriatric nursing.

 

Herbert & Ollie Brook Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be a high school senior in Maui county. Preference given to applicants who plan to return to Maui county after completion of education or training.

 

Hew-Shinn Scholarship Fund (VocEd)

Applicant must be a Maui county resident pursuing vocation education in the U.S., or currently enrolled in vocational education programs in the University of Hawaii Community College system.

 

Hokuli`a Foundation Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a resident of North of South Kona who plans to study in the fields of healthcare, education or social work. Preference given to applicants who demonstrate an emphasis in advancing Native Hawaiian culture.

 

Ian Doane Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior who resides on the island of Maui and is an active participant in soccer and/or surfing.

 

Jean Ileialoha Beniamina Scholarship for Ni'ihau Students Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be a resident of Kaua'i or Ni'ihau Island. Minimum 2.7 GPA required. Preference may be given to current Ni'ihau residents, Kaua'i residents who are one or two generations removed from Ni'ihau Island, or those who are proficient or fluent in the Hawaiian language. Additional essay is required.

 

K.M. Hatano Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a high school senior from the county of Maui (including Lana'i and Molok'a) who will attend a four-year college or university in the state of Hawaii.

 

Kalihi Education Coalition Scholarship Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be a resident of Kalihi-Palama with a zip code of 96817 or 96819 who is an undergraduate or graduate student or is a current year graduating senior from Damien High School, Farrington High School or Kamehameha schools (Kapalama campus). Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

Applicant must be a current year graduating senior from Campbell, Nanakuli or Waianae High Schools.

 

King Kekaulike High School Scholarship

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be a current year graduating senior of King Kekaulike High School with atleast three hours of community service. Children of King Kekaulike High School staff members are not eligible. Additional essay and minimum 2.8 GPA required.

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior of Lana'i High School. Preference given to those looking to pursue a major in travel industry management.

Applicant must be a high school senior in Maui County. Preference given to individuals who wish to return to Maui after completion of their studies.

 

Logan Nainoa Fujimoto Memorial Scholarship (VocEd)

Applicant must be a resident of Hawaii attending an accredited vocational education program in Hawaii or in the continental United States with a concentration in automotive technology. Preference given to students attending Universal Technical Institute.

 

Mary Josephine Bloder Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a current year graduation senior of Lahainaluna High School with a high GPA in the sciences. Preference given to boarding students.

 

Moanalua High School Math Scholarship

Applicant must be a current year graduating senior of Moanalu High School who participates in Math League activities and events.

 

Ray Yoshida Kauai Fine Arts Scholarship

Applicant must be a high school senior on the island of Kaua'i who will pursue studies in the fine arts.

 

Ron Bright Scholarship

Applicant must be a current year graduating senior of a public Winward O'ahu high school (Castle, Kahuku, Kailua, Kalaheo or Olomana) who will major in education. Preference given to students with extra-curricular activities in the performing arts.

 

Rosemary & Nellie Ebrie Foundation Scholarship

Applicant must be a long-time resident of Hawaiian ancestry born and currently living on the island of Hawaii.

 

Safeway Foundation Hawaii Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a resident of the state of Hawaii attending a college or university in Hawaii. Preference for current and past employees of Safeway Hawaii and their dependent. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

Applicant must be a graduating high school senior or college freshman or sophomore. Essay is required. Selection is based on content, grammatical correctness and originality of the essay.

 

Burger King Scholars Program

Award: $50,000, Deadline: December 15

Applicant must be a resident of the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico who is graduating from high school or home school and plans to enroll full-time for the entire academic year at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

 

$1,000 C.I.P. Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: December 31

Applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. 17 years of age or older who is currently enrolled in, or plants to start a program of higher education within the next 12 months. Applicant may be a full- or part-time student and attend a campus-based or online program.

 

National Aviation Explorer Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be registered and active in an aviation Explorer post. Three letters of recommendation and a 500-word educational plan are required. Application must be approved by applicant's local Learning for Life office for consideration. If under 18 years of age, parent or guardian approval is required; applicants over the age of 21 are not eligible.
