Applicant must be a college junior, senior or graduate student majoring in public relations, journalism or communications and intending to pursue a career in public relations.

Applicant must major or concentrate in a field related to landscape architecture, demonstrate financial need and be a resident of Hawaii. Minimum 2.7 GPA required.

Applicant must be a dependent of a Hawaii public employee killed or injured in the line of duty (to the extend that they are incapacitated or incapable of continuing their profession) or a past or present public employee injured in the line of duty. The public employee must be in a position where lives are risked for the protection of others.

 

Vicki Willder Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be an employee or the dependent of an employee of Kamehameha Schools food services department or be a graduate of Kamehameha Schools. Preference to students majoring in culinary arts or travel industry management.

 

Waimea High School Class of 1952 Scholarship Fund

Applicant must be a graduate of Waimea High School and a resident of the state of Hawaii. Minimum 2.7 GPA required.

 

Walter H. Kupau Memorial Fund

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be a descendant of members in good standing with the Hawaii Carpenter's Union Local 745, with preference given to descendants of retired members.

 

Will J. Henderson Scholarship Fund in Hawai'i

Award: $5,000, Deadline: February 19

Applicant must be a child dependent of a current employee at Queen's Medical Center who is attending or plans to attend any academic or vocational institution in Hawaii and the U.S.A. that is accredited and approved by the Hawaii Community Foundation. Minimum 2.0 GPA required.

Americorps National Civilian Community Corps

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen between 18 and 24 years of age and living on one of four AmeriCorps campuses in Denver, Colorado; Sacramento, California; Perry Point, Maryland; or Vicksburg, Mississippi. Applicants must commit to 10 months of service. Awarded when term of service is completed.

 

Library and Information Science Scholarship

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen currently attending a post-secondary institution (undergraduate or graduate) with a major in library or information science. Minimum 3.0 GPA and essay required.

 

Minority Student Scholarship

Award: $500, Deadline: December 24

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen currently attending a post-secondary institution full-time. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. For this scholarship, 'minority' is defined as someone of the following ethnicities: Black, Hispanic, Native American and Pacific Islander. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

 

$1,000 C.I.P. Scholarship

Award: $1,500, Deadline: December 31

Applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. 17 years of age or older who is currently enrolled in, or plants to start a program of higher education within the next 12 months. Applicant may be a full- or part-time student and attend a campus-based or online program.

 

National Aviation Explorer Scholarship

Award: $10,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be registered and active in an aviation Explorer post. Three letters of recommendation and a 500-word educational plan are required. Application must be approved by applicant's local Learning for Life office for consideration. If under 18 years of age, parent or guardian approval is required; applicants over the age of 21 are not eligible.

 

Spartan School of Aeronautics Aviation Explorer Scholarship

Award: $2,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be an aviation explorer enrolled in any of these Spartan School of Aeronautics programs: aviation instrument technician, aviation maintenance technician, avionics technician, professional pilot. Three letters of recommendation and short essay required. Application must be approved by applicant's local Learning for Life office for consideration. Applicants over the age of 21 are not eligible.

 

Sport's Pilot Shop Aviation Explorer Scholarship

Award: $1,000, Deadline: March 31

Applicant must be an Aviation Explorer who plans to enroll in an aviation curriculum at any university or school. Three letters of recommendation, a short essay and a photograph are required. Application must be approved by applicant's local Learning for Life office for consideration.
